Title: Interesting view on soft enrage timers
Post by: Legolei on July 08, 2011, 06:16:47 AM
The blogger Gevlon sometimes has interesting views on how to approach things. E.g. his initial approach to the hard Cataclysm Heroics just after people were geared for it, was to bring 2 healers instead of one.

Today he has a blog about soft enrage timers (http://greedygoblin.blogspot.com/2011/07/burn-phase.html). One of his conclusions is that when in a soft enrage timer fight like Beth'tilac you wipe in P2, it's not the dps that should do better, but the healers. Healers doing 1% better/more effective healing in P2 of Beth'tilac, leads to better results than Dps doing 1% more damage in P2.

False, its never the healers fault!

That tends to how we approach encounters.  Set it up for max healing so you survive.  Then worry about the soft enrage.
