Title: Testing avoidance
Post by: Twyst on July 11, 2011, 04:11:58 PM
So after the previous test where I gemmed for pure Mastery over all, I'm now gemming for avoidance over all. Remember, I normally reforge for mastery but gem stamina. This is to combat further spike damage as a lot of DK tanks are being benched by the top end guilds because they cannot take some of the big hits (remember, our block mechanic relies on being able to take a full hit without a block) in heroic modes.

Infact, on 25M normal some DK tanks can't take Beth hits whereas they can on 10M normal. I don't know if they are mastery tanks or not, but a few respected tanks over at MMO have said they've changed from mastery to avoidance in firelands.

OFC, if this is a real failure then I'll just go back to what I was doing before. But like all good Engineers do - if it works, improve it!

To quote the most famous Engineer I know - and actually on topic ;)
QuoteScotty: Shunt the deuterium from the main cryo-pump to the auxiliary tank.
Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge: Er, the tank can't withstand that kind of pressure.
Scotty: [laughs] Where'd you... where'd you get that idea?
