metal gear solid.

Only just got around to playing it and well to be honest so far ive not been that impressed. Far far far to many cut scenes, gets incredibly borring, snorrRR

Whos seen Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (Xbox)  Now that looks like the dogs bollocks!

Instead of strating a new threead on MGS3, I thought I'll use this old one.

I was quite a fan of the first and second MGS, but then also of the SC:Pandora tomorrow. Both played on the PS/PS2. I actually  think that these games are better played on the PS than on the PC, which is notably superior in FPS and such.

I only got now to playing the Metal Gear Solid 3. WOW. Do these graphics actually come from a 4 yrs old PS2? Unbelievable.

True, too much cutscenes. But then, the long "communicatios" ones can be skipped (and skipped very fast with the triangle button), and the theatrical ones are realy cinematic quality. Action is also good.

Anyone played it?

Aye. MGS is sweet as a nut, but in comparison to Splinter cell its chalk and cheese my friend, chalk and cheese.

Didn't really enjoy playing either. Maybe i have a grudge against the controllers OR maybe i think all games should be made into FPS'.


Im looking forward to mgs4, not to play, i just want the graphics to melt my eyes.

i aint played MG since #1 but ive played all splinter cell on pc ............not much in it tbh what MG doesnt have SC does .......so....but the playstation 3 version of MGS 3 looks very very very very very goooooood :dribble:
