Title: Hit or not hit...this is the question (fury)
Post by: vladic on August 01, 2011, 11:31:52 PM
Right ladies and gentlemen (and dwarfs), these last 2 weeks ive experimented on the four specs to see which i prefer (eventually ending up as a SMF again with arms as offspec due to the posobility the mass chain linkage will help with ryloth) as ive researched around for titan and more SMF information ive come across 2 conflicting ideas.

1 - Get 8% hit on purpose then focus on Str > Crit etc etc
2 - Get 12% hit then focus on others

Now with my current gear i hit 12 % anyway with Expertise cap and 22% crit self buffed, however if this 8% theory proved correct i could very easily chunk alot of hit into crit ending up with around 26/27% self buffed which would be amazing for my talent procs..

so what do any warriors/warrior knowledgable people think.

PS - can we start using windfury in RGW as it will make me and nims DPS go alot higher and supply me with practically infinite rage :) thx bye :D

Go to 8% hit then increase as needed to a point where you feel your rage gen is adequate I reckon. In my short experiment (8% hit and 16 exp) I felt it was pretty much enough already. With exp cap and hit to 8% I reckon you should be fine. If not, get more hit until you are :-) Lots of training dummy time ^.^

If that windfury comes through it might compensate for less hit, in terms of rage gen :-)

Windfury isnt completely nessesary but if we get it it does apparently give us a massive DPS increase (speaking for warriors here dunno what effect it has on a rogue)

If with windfury you mean the totem (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=8512), I will not stack with Hunting Party (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=53290), which is always on when I'm in SV spec in the raid (and alive :g:)

aye but on fight such as Ryloth for turning etc Windfury probably be more beneficial due to 3 melee (me pals and Nims) plus lego also benefits since he is no longer survival (waaah)

Uh, I only go MM for Shannox so I can also produce 40K+ hits during the fight to break Rageface's rage.
I was SV against Beth'tilac and Rhyolith, so you had your 10% extra mêlee speed.

If it helps, the logs show which buffs you had during any specific fight, so you can always check there to see what you got buffed with during any encounter.
