I'm in :yahoo:
Tonight is the night!!!!!!!!!!!
downloaded already and its a bit...ok ish
What did you all think of it?
I thought it was pretty good although I wanted a bit more action rather than suspense.
I really liked it!, zombies looked pretty good........as in convincing....... not as in good looking:rolleyes:
SPOILER
Just finished the current set of episodes next ones are due out in February.
It was far drier than the first season and almost turned into Lost.
They spread the content of 1 episode over 5 imo.
Oh well, guess in February it might be better :).
im disapointed in the second season far to lovey dovey.
Final minute of last episode 7 "Pretty Much Dead Already" - the final walker to leave the barn. Epic.
Last season had only six episodes, so the writers kept the scripts tight and defined. Season 2 with a run of 13 episodes, they got lazy and fell into "character development" (or padding). I'd have told them they had two series of 6 episodes. Split the writers into two teams with one series each and dare them to outdo each other!
if this was rl and i remained alive, i wouldnt be driving around in what they drive in either! firstly it'd have to be automatic as i cant drive :) it would be cool to do a zombieland esk thing going to famous peoples houses etc.
I think you'll find the famous houses full of zombies, then a few more after the epidemic
I really liked this season, it was a little dry in places, but their budget was a lot lower for this season than the first :(
Great ending also, makes a change to the 'happily ever after' scenario :)
Looking forward to February!
Loving the season so far :thumb:

You 'n' me both :thumb:
Didn't realise it was back on! Sweet!
I disagree :P
It's turning into a soap with the occasional cameo from a zombie.
Season 1 was more hardhitting and action packed this season seems to simply revolve around the farm!
I have miss episode 8 so waiting to get that before I make comment
Sent from my position in this ever expanding universe.
I really can't wait. I just re-watched the first series on DVD.
"Judge, Jury, and Executioner" was a good episode.
A build up to an unexpected conclusion. Can't say too much without spoilers, but keep an eye on Carl...
Last nights episode was good, the season finale looks awesome! (although gutted its ending again :( )
"clear!"
Right, with this revived, has anyone watched them through? I watched the first 2 of the first season but I have read the original comics up until
they get to the enclave near Washington. Am I ahead with a dead Lori, cut off hand and prison excitement behind me, or is the TV series a complete different animal?
From the trailers the characters seem similar but was wondering if it follows the same story arc, and if so have far does Season 1 get, and how far does Season 2 get
So, as everyone is interested I thought I'd share. I'm not a big comic reader, I like the idea of it, read a few Punishers and Batmans in my time but not really a fan as such. Trawling around I installed a reader on my iPad and got hold of The Walking Dead and 2 weeks later have read everyone. It is absolutely marvellous. I cannot recommend it enough. Well written, good characters and riveting.
If you like the show, get the comics, if you don't...get the comics anyway, it's up there with the Wire on my list of must read/see/do. To put that in perspective Edward Mit Dem Penishanden is also on that list.
Having watched Series 1 on 5 and then lost interest as the story line in my opinion went pants I picked up series 2 and have just finished it and I can proberly say it was better than series one. Great ending aswell.
From what I've read the series ends at about issue 50. It's up to 100 now in the comics. Definitely get hold of them if you can. Superb!
I'm just waiting for Season 3 to start as the trailer looks great.
I don't want to get the comics as I like the suspence in now knowing. However, that said, I *did* find out more about Michonne as her entrance to Andrea was pretty spectacular.
So, I've taken the plunge.
Before I go off on a diatribe, I should perhaps explain my personality traits. I have OCD in one form or another. It's not diagnosed and I'm sure medically it's not true, but I've decided and therefore I'm right. When I find something I like I abuse it until it's bled dry. A few examples perhaps;
The Wire - All 5 series in about a month
24 - up to season 6, as above bar the last couple where I lost interest
Lost - 1 episode then gave up despite others telling me it's great.
Friday Night Lights - really liked but have managed to park it for now after 1 episode....I know I'll watch it, but Walking Dead beat it.
Apps on my iPad - anything shiny - Firetask, Flipboard, Zite
Books - hundreds upon hundreds ready to read on my Ipad. I won't read them but need to know they are there.
So, back to the Walking Dead. I happened to stumble across the comics on my iPad and read the first one as I had five minutes to spare. 1 week later and I'd read all 90. The story is hugely compelling and in equal measure exciting and emotional. I watched the first episode a while back and it didn't grab me, but I tried it again last night and am now up to episode 4.
So what am I saying. The episodes so far broadly follow the original comics, but there are additional characters in there - Merle, the crossbow tit, the wife beater etc. What is refreshing is that they don't dilute the story too far. How they handle the upcoming prison piece in the TV show will be interesting as there are some very dark storylines in there. Seeing them on paper was distressing, seeing them on film will be moreso if done well. I'll stand by my recommendation to read the originals, they don't ruin the TV show in any way as they are subtley different but a good standalone read.
Next is FNL, then I'm going to give the Sopranos one more go.
Impressive on the wire as there are only 5, on the final season of the Sopranos, also reading Walking Dead tis v good, lost the same as you.
Fringe is where I go next :) along with Nikta season 2
The two jawless & armless zombies-on-rope with Michonne are her brother and boyfriend. Nice sentimental gal huh? Samurai sword and pet zombies. I wonder what she does for kicks?
Season 3 cant be too far away now!
