this sucks where was the good old days where you could press esc in bf2 and browse servers without exiting the game....

Yes and I like it.

You just treat the "Hub" as your main screen. Click and drag friends into the server for invite.
Or click and drag them into the voice chat.

I click the server and it shows me who's playing, all the info etc.

It works good IMHO.

Don't think of it as though you have to load the whole game up each time from scratch each time you choose a server. ie going through the startup images like BC2.

As soon as you hit join it loads you straight into the server from battlelog.

Its fast.... Faster than BC2.
