This is the boss that needs killing as part of the legendary weapon quest line. It's a pretty good movie in terms of ability to pick up tactics from it as you can hear the Ventrillo/Teamspeak as well as see what is happening. It's also an important fight not to wipe on, or you need to wait a week and go do the whole pre-quest bit again!

I need the fragments from 3 bosses first, so it will be next reset at the earliest. The collected fragments allow you to open the portal to get to the boss, then you get your one attempt per week. The nice thing is it gives a weapon upgrade when the boss is dead. I re-read the later stages of the legendary quest line again recently and I had initially thought there was no weapons upgrade until the legendary. but I was wrong. When I last read it the article it showed only gold rewards so they must have omitted it from that version on MMO :frusty:
Branch of Nordrassil (http://www.wowhead.com/item=71084) is received after the above fragment collection and killing of Volcanus, so that's a 'hopefully' one night upgrade for raid dps as it replaces my current i359.
Branch of Nordrassil (http://www.wowhead.com/item=71084) is then upgraded later in the quest chain to Runestaff of Nordrassil (http://www.wowhead.com/item=71085) once I have collected the 1,000 Seething Cinder (http://www.wowhead.com/item=69815).
The Runestaff of Nordrassil (http://www.wowhead.com/item=71085) is upgraded to Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest (http://www.wowhead.com/item=71086) once 250 Smouldering Essences have been collected along with the Heart of Flame (http://www.wowhead.com/item=69848).
2012 might be a good estimate of when we get it finished! :roflmao:

18 to 21 (7 to 8 full clears) in normal (seething cinder)
2 - 3 (14-21 full clears) in normal (smouldering )
next week RGW can try Volcanus too...im at 19/25 and then we need the 4 foci... we need to wipe on beth'tilac (i need to go upstairs, place focus an go down..and return up to collect) shannox and rhyo r doable during my quest..on aly we wipe normally.
