Title: QuickOffice Pro HD
Post by: TeaLeaf on September 13, 2011, 11:45:20 AM
I've bene playing with office suites on my Xoom as my work leads me to using a lot of flash rendered sites, powerpoints, word & excel documents.  I tried Quickoffice Pro HD and it is the first office suite I have come across that properly rendered some of my standard word documents (a word version of a multipage tabulated form for client completion).  So far I've been very impressed.

Any one else got experience with other android office suites?

Documents To Go (http://www.lifeofandroid.com/app_review_detail/documents-to-go/) is about the only other contender. It does very well with Microsoft office compatibility but is a bit pricey at a tenner

I use Quickoffice on the Xoom as well but Polaris Office came free on my Samsung S2 phone and that seems pretty good.

I didn't rate Polaris. It's not Samsung only, I tried it on an Asus. The problem I had with most of the office programs is they could open an existing program but they were worse than google docs. The problem with google docs I found is it was hard to just log into google docs as another user without it getting confused. My experience of tablets thus far has been: Angry birds, watching videos and browsing the web, great. Trying to do serious work, not so great.

I use Documents2Go on the ipad and it works pretty well. Good functionality and compatibility.
