I just had a delivery via Citylink from Misco.
It was a pretty big delivery bag: the bag measured 57cm x 38cm and it was labelled as sufficient packaging for up to 10 Kg weight.
Contents: 1 x MicroSD card measuring less than 1cm square and weighing just a few grams.
The world has gone packaging mad. :frusty:
:roflmao:
Had a similar bag for a new sim card a few months ago but at least the sim card was in an envelope 13cm x 10cm which was in the bag.
That's pretty amazing. I know Amazon have a packaging feedback feature, where you can tell them when they or their agents use too much packaging. I wonder if Overclockers do something similar?
The irony was that the bag was marked "Recyclable". :roflmao:
@Smilo: no specific post-sales feedback option, but I sent a brief rant to Misco's customer support team via email.
Lol i thought exactly the same as you after i purchased a microsd card from play.com, i was hopping mad to at the time

It's presumably so it can be shipped in the same van as a giant magnet without issue...
Whatever the reason it's just silly.
When I Bought an Mp3 Player off Gandalf he was kind enough to send it within 3 packages and its only as big as an ipod nano lol
the wife just a new keyboard yesterday, another natural ergonomic 4000, to replace the one she wore out
anyhow i was in and took delivery of this huge box... about 700mm³ for a 500x 250 x 80mm bow- in which the keyboard was contained, sufice to say the rest of the box was mad eup of them inflated plastic bags... over kill, hmm yea as the keyboard box was fairly solid, if you`d wrapped brown paper round it and posted it, i suspect it would arrive in 99-100% perfect condition....unless you used royal mail.. the chances would be far less
so big box, with bag of air- with a box inside it- with a keboard in side said box, wrapped up win !
my other pet hate is them stupid vacuum sealed tougher than metal plastic containers, you know the ones that require industrial kitchen scissors/ stanley knife to get into... GRRRRR
