Just wanted to say thanks to all those involved in the Lan, top fun as usual.
here here was fantastic
I really enjoyed it, great to see everyone again and also to put faces to the LAN virgin voices I listen to on TS all the time!
Huge thanks to everyone that helped make it what it was.
Was good to finally meet some people! I might even play a few games next time...
Had a amazing time, its great to see all the people I known over the years could not stop laughing at some moments. Cannot wait to see you guys again!! :D
Big shout out to Toby and Ninja, great organisation and probably the smoothest run competitions for a long time.
I believe that Ninja and Toby deserve a second badge to go with their "LAN Admin" ones, can someone do a "LAN Cat Herder" badge, they deserve it.
Also had good fun on Magicka last night, laughed so hard even more wee than ususal came out.
Even turning up on Saturday without a PC didn't spoil the fun. The bowling was a blast and I'm so glad TL talkied me into coming. Cheers to Toby and Ninja and everyone else who fixed thing, made things appear on screens etc. :D
Thanks to everyone for creating a great LAN.
In particular Toby & Ninja who made a lovely couple in their matching shirts!
What a Great First LAN Thanks to the people behind it who made it possible I really enjoyed myself I would like to say a big thanks to Drunken Zombie and Twobad for there pc support as i would have been stuffed without it!
Well Done to Ninja And Toby for all there hard work.

I agree to the fullest. A cute couple indeed, and seeing them handing out prizes and love on the lawn, was a special moment for everyone.
I want to say thanks to everyone, in my case particularily TL and Pen who made us socials feel warm and welcomed. A great weekend that will be remembered. :-)
Many thanks :D
I agree a very smoothly run and a great many laughs had. Much thanks to all organisers even if they had a smaller part to play as it all made a big difference.
Thanks to Toby & Ninja for the superb organisational feat they pulled off.
Great to see old and new faces too:D
Very impressed. The whole weekend was great fun from arriving at the bar propped up by a bunch of scary foreigners right through to seeing selected scenes from videos involving circus like manoeuvrability. Big thanks to everyone who made it happen.
I agree with Sparko though Fatbob's race rig was quite the experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it despite being rather terrible. Big thanks to him for giving up any chances of using his computer himself over the weekend.
Also really enjoyed the shirts on Saturday was great to see so many participate.
Congratulations to everyone involved for a brilliantly run LAN.
Its amazing how many people came from far off lands (and exotic ones like scotland =p). I think the LAN team should be very proud of the last few days.
I had a great (if not sleep deprived time) and I would love to thank Toby and Ninja for putting on a stella performance. I would also like to thank TL and PEN for working so hard behind the scenes. The WoW'ers were a really great addition this time round and are all great fun, I really hope there will be socials happening at the same time in the future as having some beers with you guys was awesome!
TL deserves another honourable mention for possibly the best game of human Buckaroo I have ever seen, I will remember that for ever.
Again congratulations to all involved!
DZ.

Oh joy I can hardly wait.
Whilst I'm working on next years' dates, are there weekends that you can't make and I'll see if we can make it slap bang in the middle of one? :flirty:
I'll repost what I've just posted in the HHA thread
(http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?27374-The-Helping-Hand-Award&p=334050#post334050)
TL is this year's long overdue winner.
Bizarrely TL had never received the HHA before but that was primarily down to the face that he used to choose the recipient.
This LAN was was more than apt to put that right. He, along with Ninja and Toby, spent untold hours of time and hundreds of PM's in getting this LAN organised. The added (welcome) complication of organising a DMR meet at the same time meant the three of them worked hard for months in getting the planning right.
Along with several others - Oldie for the servers (as always!), Twobad and Lionheart for the technical support, Lib for the servers, Drunken-Zombie for tech support and for the photography and even young FatBob for bringing along his complete racing rig.
Many others too all helped in their own way be it from restarting servers, setting up tables, clearing away rubbish, wrapping up cat cables, taking Sarah (the young and attractive) hotel waitress out for the night, etc etc so thank you to you all.
phew finally home :P that was a fantastic weekend and I really enjoyed it allot so cheers everyone and I'll cya next time :D
First thanks Toby and Ninjaf****, ehrm, NinjaFreak and offcourse TeaLeaf for the organisation. Really had a good time.
Second, cheers DA and Fatbob, excellent wingmans the both of you. Next time we need to sort something around my place!
Third; Rob the manager for driving me and the others to Stansted. Much appreciated should he ever read it.
Fourth, my teams in the competitions. Good fun and had a blast (several even). Got some nice shiny new dogtags because of that.
Fifth Krispy for sharing the twinroom. Nice to finally meet you.
Sixth; All the new LANguys. Special thanks to TwoBad, nice to meet you in RealLife.
Seven; My fellow World of Tank players. Speak to you soon again for the dailies!
Did I miss anything?
Ah yeah, forgot to mention something. I was starting up my Shuttle at home again and got the message that my Antivirus has been busy this weekend as I got a message that it got rid of some virusses. Ran a complete scan and found some others. Might be a good suggestion to all to check your computers also.
Special Thanks from me go to Drunken Zombie and his bottomless pit of PC Parts he logged round with him, which certainly saved DD'S Lan, Nice one dude.
Huge thanks to all involved for organising. As a firstie I felt very welcome and I had loads of fun even though I was only there for the DMR social. Seeing everyone gaming has made me seriously consider coming with some gaming gear next time (financial situation allowing) :-)
And most of all it was great fun putting a face to all the names on TS and in WoW! Raiding will never be the same ;-)
Finally home! Been a long day of traveling and waiting at the airport!
Would really like to thank everyone for the warm welcome. It was well worth the trip and it was nice to meet so many of the faces behind the avatars and voices.
Really super amazing special thanks to Toby for picking me up when I arrived and Gortex and Feezuki for taking me all the way to Gatwick for the trip home.
Also great effort from everyone involved with the social bit, and Tealeaf made sure our glasses were never empty!
Had some good laughs out at the club, or for 1 beer on the way home as FatBob put it. Me, Tan and DA pulling all the moves on the dance floor, and FatBob being a complete superhero! You sir are "super amazing" ;)
yes! big thanks to all
I felt very welcome aswell and that night out was awsome, defenetly doin this again :)
Yeah verily it was a spiffing (no it is not mis-spelt I am an ex-smoker:sideways:) time to be had.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my LAN admins who made this possible and all attendees for being there.
And my PC worked when I plugged it in at home :D
I am not sure if I should thank Albert, he has introduced me to BSG and I suspect this may take up some of my precious time.
Until the next time, have fun y'all
even being "interfered" with in my sleep didnt phase me, great times! :-)
Quote from: Stryker;334096even being "interfered" with in my sleep didnt phase me, great times! :-)
Sleep? is that what you call sleep? Seemed more like a coma to me
Actually Lumi's reaction to it was funnier than the prank it self :p
Great LAN, an I'll add my thanks to the LAN Admins & TL for organising a great weekend - somehow they even managed to book in good weather (which was wasted on most of us...)
PC & I got home safely - the kids must have missed it as I turned my back for 5 minutes after setting it up and one of the little blighters had nicked my seat :ranting2:
I had an absolutely brilliant time at the LAN. Thanks to all the organizers and the wonderful attendees.
Even the travel wasn't that bad now that I've slept for 16 hours and had my dinner. Got home at 1:15AM local time :p
About the same time I got home. I had to get a few hours sleep before heading straight to work though  Brutal... thank god for coffee
Thanks to everyone from me as well. Next time i'll be a bit more prepared on the games i think ;)
Quote from: Vargen;334180About the same time I got home. I had to get a few hours sleep before heading straight to work though  Brutal... thank god for coffee
Me, Spiritus and Kakehund had foreseen that problem, so all of us had cleared a monday off with our respective overlords. That's what you should've done too :D
Sucked bad enough having to go back to work this morning, but in half an hour I'm outta here. The crucial first workday after a LAN is overwith :D

I had actually cleared the whole week, but someone decided that one week of vacation time so far this year was all I would get
...soooo 4 weeks off in December OR 150% overtime for those weeks, tyvm. No, that was not a request, ma'am.
Well, the vacation rules have gotten quite complicated these past couple of years. Still, if you penned in all five weeks, and you only got to take one, you've got some serious overtime coming to you :D
Me, I still have two weeks I gotta take before the end of the year. Last two weeks? I think so :D
Hey guys, Just wanted to say a Big Thank You for a fantastic time at the LAN, great to meet you all once again and to see even more peeps from DMW:) Great pics too!! I'll try and post some to, once i've figured out how to it!
Bye bye for now :byebye: xx
Better late than never.... ;)
I had an awesome weekend, so big thanks are in order for all the people who made the magic happen. Cheers guys, see you in April.
It looked like an excellent 4 day LAN, shame I could only come for the day.
Good to see people I know and meet people I don't.
Mick.
