Beta Testing Weekends for Star Warsâ,,¢: The Old Republicâ,,¢ began earlier this month and during our first weekend, we invited more players into testing than we’ve ever invited before in a single weekend! Now we’re getting ready for another Beta Testing Weekend, starting on October 7th and finishing on October 10th. With increased invite numbers from the first weekend, even more of you will get to play The Old Republic.

If you don’t get invited to this weekend’s test, don’t worry. More Beta Testing Weekends will occur before the launch of The Old Republic. To have an opportunity to get into future Beta Testing Weekends, be sure to sign up for future testing (http://www.swtor.com/tester) on www.StarWarsTheOldRepublic.com (http://www.swtor.com) and opt-in for game testing.

Invites to the Beta Testing Weekend are being sent this week. If you are selected, an email invite will be sent to the email address associated with your Star Wars: The Old Republic account. Please add the email address no-reply@bioware.swtor.com to your ‘safe senders’ list in your email client to ensure delivery. If you are uncertain whether you have been invited, login to the official Star Wars: The Old Republic website’s tester page (http://www.swtor.com/tester). If you have been invited, the client will be available to download from that page. If you have other questions, please ask them in the official Forums (http://www.swtor.com/community/).

Nope, we are all selected for the biggest test they will do for swtor.

It will not be a real big test of the game but more a test on how the servers will handle alot of people playing on it.  
This weekend was also a beta testing for a small selected group. I have a feeling that maybe next weekend we will know when we get the change to play the game.

For myself i think it will be the 26/27th of November, but that is what i think, we will see and find out when Bioware will do this big test.

Also you dont have to use Origin to play the beta:)

The NDA is now lifted so we can discuss all aspects of this game freely.  All I ask is that we try and keep it the correct areas, Classes, Flashpoints, etc.

If you cant find the section or not sure put in the SW:TOR and it will be moved :)

Got the exe file,but cant see any download when clicking on shortcut on my desktop....click on that nothing happens..
File 24mb and thats it?......Also cant see any action in Task manager

Yup. got my Email earlier today but the website is clogged up atm so I haven't been able to download it yet.l

Got my conformation mail to agree to for this weekend. But servers ate down till 6am on 22/11/2011 for maintenance. Roll on Friday :)

I dont get to the stage where I press "Install" and choose path. ... it works for 1-2 sec then just disappears, nothing happens, the files extracted does not work. ...

Just a quick question for the people that are playing this weekend..

Are we all going to be on the same server? is there one testserver or someting?

It a good question and not one we can answer mate, we have no ideas of the servers names and such, I dont think we will till they open the flood gates.  

I will try and sort out some plan to see if we can get together.  And which server etc.

Downloaded and instaled 18,4gb folder when done here.

I think i read they are going to spreed out the start times here to,
17.00CET friday saturday and sunday? if i read corectly. and it ends at 01.00CEt Monday.

So lest hope vi get in early :)

Started the launcher today and another update was downloaded.  I'd recommend starting it at least once per day prior to Friday to check for patches.

I've downloaded and installed for this weekend. Plus, it now looks like I'm not working this weekend after the job was postponed......yay!!!

Right mates I got a bit of a stupid question... I have never done a beta testing before and I've honestly no idea of what to expect nor what is expected of me...

I know that this weekend is a stress test and I know what it means, we will be stressing the server as much as humanly possible. But aside from that?

Also I got question not really related to gaming but still important... Can one survive on soda for an entire weekend or do I really have to go buy the crafting remedies for food and thus ruin my otherwise perfectly healthy SW:TOR trailer marathon?

Well on is a bit to match to call it right now, we are all in cue for the ONLY engelish server in EU :/
The cue has gone from 3500 til 1500 in 40 mins...

im in the queue for Kissai Caste, number 2800 atm, started on 6k+

why the hell is there only 1 english server in the eu and SIX german, ridicolous

Apparently, there are now at least 4 English servers showing in the list (all with wait times of over an hour), but that doesn't help those of us who have spent the last 75 minutes in the queue for the original one and now don't want to lose their place in the queue.   Our server has a wait time of over 3 hours, so we're almost in and not re-queing!.

What's the name of the server?

Hopefully tomorrow will be better, once the hype is over and possibly some annoyed players jump servers.
