Title: Panoramas
Post by: Jamin on October 09, 2011, 03:01:05 PM
After a discussion on TS last night, I'm posting some of the stuff I've been up to, I'm no photographer so don't beat me up over over exposures and ISO levels plz. I use a Fuji F70EXR (http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/fujifilm_finepix_f70exr_review/) and a Pentax D110 (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0605/06052205pentaxk100d.asp), no tripod so either hand held or resting on an wall or post. The stitching software I use is PTgui (http://www.ptgui.com/).

These pictures are big:

Great panorama shots Ben,we must have a chat about the stitching app as I can never avoid obvious joins, but those look first class

I like the Lytham St Annes one the board in the center looks great stretching off to the horizon.  Im no photographer either and just use a tiny instant and a handy prog called microsoft ice.  http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/groups/ivm/ice/   For a numpty like me that cannot drive photoshop to its true potential this is an easy drag and drop solution that leaves no joins.

Ill post something up later.

Just a few pics from Last year, first time ive really bothered to get out and take pics when Ive been climbing. This year I am going to make an effort to take a camera with me most days as in winter the Lakes ace.

EDIT: You will have to scroll on the images I didnt re size on upload :(    (You can always save to desktop to see the whole image).

WOW! much better exposures than mine, great pics :thumb: don't resize the pics when uploading as you lose the resolution, after uploading, on the left of the page there is a direct link to imageshack of just the picture, this gets rid of the imgplace graphics and allows zooming in the browser
eg:
http://www.imgplace.com/viewimg97/3981/55esksch.jpg on imgplace is really:

http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/3981/55esksch.jpg on imageshack :)
