I went to look at log as you just said and it was 3DNOW and i was sure i had added that line........like a dickhead i hadnt restarted it had i......now it reads SSE :D

Anyone noticed that their little 'tooltips' tags on the taskbar get out of synch or don't display properly? The blame lies at the door of F@h! Exit the programme and restart. That'll cure it. Not a big deal but an irritation.

Now i have my spangly router setup and running, is there any ports i need to forward to allow it to send back its info?

At the moment they only use 8080, but they have historically also used 80.  A full port list is available here (http://folding.stanford.edu/serverstat.html).

The whole stanford.edu domain is 171.64.0.0 - 171.67.255.255.

For most "home" routers you shouldn't need to as they will allow outbound traffic. However, do as TL says if your one doesn't work like that.
