Title: Taking the grind out of the daily
Post by: Penfold on October 27, 2011, 11:48:50 AM
I have found a nice little routine to clear the grind out of the daily.

It helps with weapons platforms, intercept enemy patrols and salvage containers.

I go to Fenris and there's two debris fields next to each other at C3. These respawn every 10 minutes and you can sit in the middle picking up the containers. Between that time there's a regular supply of low level enemy patrols at that location.

There's also a weapons platform at F3 which can be reached, destroyed and returned in the 10 minute timeframe. This respawns every 5 minutes.

The asteroid field at D1 pumps out drones albeit slowly and you can mine in the interim.

Anyway, I've found this a nice little way to clear some of the dailies before heading off to whatever Patrol sector I need to visit.

Of course.

Has anyone found the best way to rack up the PVP kills? I can't seem to do that and it's the one thing that gives lots of merits.

Anyone find a good system where they regularly to find some easy Colonials :)

for PVP I just monitor the channels to see if there are any fleet ops going on. If not, look at the map to see where there is heavy fighting, or if there are colonial miners in our sectors, then head there. Easy peasy :D

Getting in a fighter and joining in the OP runs is the best way as Gandy says, lot's of the blue guys there and plenty of action.

Or you could make a run over to their "safe" areas, surrounding the out of bounds systems, you'll find fresh meat there.

How do you find OPS runs, just by watching the message?

Also, why do some planets flash white in the map - I couldn't find out what that means.

Flashing white planets in the galactic map are where you want to head if you're after some pvp action as they are the systems that have heavy fighting.
