Title: Problems with mouse in multiplayer?
Post by: GhostMjr on October 30, 2011, 12:07:29 PM
If your having problems with your mouse spinning or moving erractically remove your xbox 360 controller and any other input devices and this should prevent bf3 getting confused between your keypad with your mouse and keyboard.

This also applies to joysticks. Was commandeering my trusty ol' Extreme 3D pro from the basement, but then again no... :crying:

I had all sorts of issues when my joystick was plugged in, couldn't run, fire etc.

Go through your key bindings and set to either mouse and keyboard or joystick.  So for jets and choppers i have only joystick control, no mouse.

Unbind mouse and keyboard controls which you want for your joystick without your joystick plugged in.

Then exit the game, plug in your joystick, restart BF3 and sort out the joystick side.

Worked for me.

Tip:  When unbinding, start from the bottom of the list because the view resets to the current field at the bottom of the view so if you go top down you'll need to use the scroll every time and there's lots to do.

My copy hasn't arrived yet so excuse the n00b question - what about 360 pad support for flying?

I use my gamepad in ARMA all the time and it makes a huge difference to my flying, is BF3 still a PITA to get a controller to work with it? 3rd paty software like before?

Cheers,

DZ

This is were the thread originated from DZ.

I had my Xbox 360 pad plugged in from the outset. It worked great no issues. Until It made for some unknown reason to make my mouse freeze and stutter.
I tried everything to fix it without joy. It was only when Ghostey commented that his mate had the exact same issue with his 360 pad.
Unplugging it did the trick.

I've also been having the mouse jerking all over the place recently.

Thanks to Norv952 he gave me a couple of tips anyway.

I have two screens and I guess the pc thinks its still in browser when I play bf3 as the browser is still maximised anyway I noticed the mouse moving from the first to second screen.

When the mouse went back to the 1st screen it was jerking my players movements.

Anyway pressed Windows key and P to set my computer to run single screen.

Now its fine!

Guess when I play bf3 in future I'll have to do this each time :(.

Guess the reason to upgrade has gone away now!

Always the things you don't think of.
