Of course, all gun nuts and most gamers know there is no Glock 7. It was invented for Die Hard 2, based loosely on the false assumption that a polymer gun could pass metal detectors. Knowing the Glock 17 (depicted in the movie as the 7) couldn't pass by any measure, they cooked up the ceramic, polymer and pure magic 7.
Why is this funny??
I don't get it!
"I listened to Nirvana before they got a record deal."
"Finntroll were cool before they were mainstream."
The image takes the **** at elitist hipsters who only like things that no one else have heard of, while also implying quite a bit of ignorance. This guy knew about a (fictitious) gun before it made it's first movie appearance, and thinks that should show us mere mortals the depth of his knowledge. All it does is show he's a knowledgeless douche.
