Title: LFR - Dragon Soul
Post by: TeaLeaf on November 30, 2011, 03:39:12 PM
The 'Looking For Raid' feature allows you to raid Dragon Soul in an easier version of the instance with all boss/trash health reduced significantly and a lot of fight mechanics heavily nerfed.  You can PUG the instance via LFR (press CTRL-I when in game) and doing the first 4 available bosses takes about an hour.  It drops T13 equivalent loot so is worth doing and the loot is set to Need or Greed with a roll boost for those whose class or talent build suits the loot.

Importantly, you can do Dragon Soul via LFR and there is NO RAID LOCK.  Meaning, you can clear 4/4 bosses in the LFR version of Dragon Soul now - and then you can go to your RGW or RGT raid and enter the 10 or 25 man version with all bosses still up. So you can do both.

Yep, 4/4 in about 1 hour's time. Total cakewalk, and a great way to see tactics and mechanics without dying to them straight away for not executing them properly. Only goes up to 4th boss for now, the rest will be added next week.

Loot is between T12 and T13 btw. 387 iirc, as opposed to 374 for T12 and 393 for T13. It's also fixed on rolls, Need before Greed and based on which classes/specs can use the item you get a roll boost.

Mind, it's 25man only but you can join as group and just take command like we did today xD

Make sure you've done a 4/8 LFR so that you are eligible to take a peek at the later fights next week (in case you don't get to see them in this week's normal raids!)

Quote from: US blueThe Fall of Deathwing is not open just yet for the Raid Finder or Heroic. We plan to open this encounter up in approximately one week. We felt it was important to let more people get through the fights in normal difficulty, make videos, strat guides, update their mods, etc. before we let everyone take a crack at Deathwing. We'll keep you informed when this part of the raid opens up for Raid Finder. Keep in mind that it's required to complete the first half to be able to queue for the second, so don't hold back!
