Has anyone played Hardcore on bf3 yet? I just wanted to get some thoughts on what people think of it as a game mode.

I played a little the other day and tbh the only major thing that was noticeable was no spotting. Only played a couple of the larger open maps so could be very different close quarters.

played a fair bit of HC, its gret fun, but if you get on a HC server with a bunch of rednecks it can turn into a sadfest fast, tk's, instagibbed by 5 opposing mortards and so on

I like everything about it apart from no spotting. It makes the UAV, proximity scan and motion sensor pointless.

Could be cool to do a HC weekend or something :)

would be cool, i play a fair bit on a hc server, tho its only cool as it has spotting, and no mortar/rockets on infantry

I'd much prefer hardcore mode, I personally think its a lot more realistic and will allow more teamplay.

Since you need fewer bullets to kill people I also get better scores. Only means I'm a lousy shot on regular :blink:

Hardcore is supported if we can tweak settings to allow spotting.

How much are we able to customise the server settings for example ff on but only with guns (no ff for nades or rockets) erm Instant spawn?(is that available) etc.

FF for nades and rockets are an absolute MUST! So maybe the spamming will get a bit curbed when people actually have to think about where they send flying explosives...
