Works for operative to. Very good guide about the way energy works for the Agent and how it differs from WOW Rogues and Hunters.

T (http://swtorsniper.blogspot.com/2011/11/04-ia-energy-usage.html)he article looks in depth at the idea that energy regenerates slow at lower levels and how that effects shot rotations and general energy management
QuoteEnergy Regeneration works at a variable rate dependant on your current total energy.
Current Energy = 80 â€" 100 = 5 RPS
Current Energy = 60-80 = 4 RPS
Current Energy = 40 â€" 60 = 3 RPS
Current Energy = 20-40 = 2.5 RPS
Current Energy = 0 â€" 20 = 2 RPS
Yep, it makes a big difference to the way you prioritise shots as a Sniper. I noticed quite quickly on longer fights that energy management is a key to maintaining high DPS. If you don't, then you quickly get locked down into a long period of 'auto-attack' and horribly low dps. It's far to easy to be left holding an empty energy bar!
Nice find Smilo
Should point out this is the same system used for Heat for BH

Isn't it reversed for BH?
Yep but it has the same principal of resource management. The more heat you gain the harder it is to reduce it. Like agent energy but backwards
One of the things I fail to notice when I do the odd heroic is that you should keep your energy high even if the boss health is low. As you can suddenly find yourself sans energy and you still need to get a last heal in. Have to be pro all the time until the boss hits the floor in a bloody mess!
