Hi there,
Virgin Media are experiencing heavy congestion at the London Internet Exchange (LINX) where we peer with them. Unfortunately, this causes high latency and affects nearly every ISP in the UK (and Europe) that exchanges data with Virgin Media directly. The issue is particularly prevalent between 18:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday and from 12:00 onwards at the weekend.
We have notified Virgin Media's peering department and hopefully this can be resolved in a timely manner. Please understand that this is the fault of Virgin Media and there is little KillerCreation can do about it.
Note: This only affects customers who use Virgin Media as their home broadband provider. We would encourage anyone using Virgin Media to submit a support ticket to them in order to apply pressure to get this resolved.
Kind regards

I am....is this what's causing my problems then?
I am too, anyone any idea how to go about submitting a support ticket?
No problems for me. Everything looks fine at my end. Good speeds on 10mb (9.1 - 9.6mb)

You might see speed, but it's the latency that is the issue iirc.
Ah ok. Well SWTOR ping is 32 ms or there abouts.
Sent from my HTC Desire
Seems fine here for me, great news after their new advert with bolt ;)

If you notice any significant issues with connection to our BF3 server (lag etc.) you should post up a support ticket in Virgin Media as the issue is at their end.
Might just be my local vm service but as of 5pm lost the majority of websites!
Can't connect to deadmen site or ts but can only browse a very limited few.
Steam works fine aswell as luckily battlelog.
Even virgin media.com isn't working via 3G on my phone.
Whatever was broken has certainly blown up in style!
I've just been having the same issue GM, pulled the plug on the router & gave it some time alone to think about things & it seem to be better now, although the virgin media help page seem to be dead still, just got this instead -

I guess someones broken something.
Virgin have had a major outage in Poplar tonight, it's resolved so you should see it coming back.
man I was brickin it.. I just had my VM package installed today and only now jumped on the PC..
Nothing was working and websites took ages to load if at all.. LOL..
Speedtest was OK on the second attempt.. so whew..
Aye, it's all restored. It'll now be washed over with corporate jargon and ballcocks. They lost their routing. Anecdotally. Business and home user estates.
At least we get double speeds upgrades for free!

Bummer..just checked that link and my speed won't be doubled but i will get a price cut :D
"Doubling everyone's speed is a pretty big job, so it won't happen overnight. But rest assured, my fittest, fastest engineers will be in your area between April and July.
Don't worry, they've got everything covered. And if we need to give you a new modem to cope with the extra speed, they'll let you know. Then as soon as they're done, I, Richard Branson, be in touch to say your speed upgrade is up and running. Best of all, it's at no extra cost. So enjoy. "
still...i'd rather have no problems when playing on the server

Have you been told what discount yet?
Got a letter through from them yesterday...my speed will be increased to 120Mb and the cost will be dropped to match the same price as the 50Mb :D
Must be contagious, I got dumped offline in the middle of a BF3 battle yesterday evening and didn't get back on by bed-time.
Was back online this morning.
Apparently some problem with BT side of network (I'm not with BT broadband)
