I'm gonna be in town to see Aston Villa lose, so who's up for celebratory drinkies afterwards?
Can't you ask them to play 5 weeks later then you can come commiserate at the LAN :)

Let me know where and when I am in!
Give me a shout nearer the time and I'll check the diary, should be able to meet up!
Scott: Spearmint Rhino, Tottenham Court Road.
Just kidding. I have the day in the calendar, but I don't know which places are good or bad in London, so I'll take suggestions. All I know is I'll be staying at the Hilton in Islington.
Well, we could meet up in Leicester square/ Covent garden where pubs have good beers from across the world.
A notable one I've been to recently was Porterhouse on Maiden Lane near Covent Garden.

What do you think?
The griffin, grays inn road. Awesome pub
Good suggestions :D
Edit: Googled The Griffin, and ended up with the one in Clerkenwell Road. Goes with my first suggestion, but I don't think that was the right place :D
Anywhere down the Strand if you want a decent pint in a pub. Anywhere in Soho if you want to feel how out of touch you are with today's youth. Cheap beer and a good view if you get to the Opera Rooms at Chandos on Trafalgar Square. Then Tiger Tiger to look at poon.
The Porterhouse is a good pub and does a great burger. Can get rammed on the weekend though.
If you are staying in Islington, the Islington Tap is a good pub.
There are several good pubs along Upper St too I can recommend The Bull and The Library, The Bull does good food to and has some great beers.

Yup, that's the one all right.
Spent many a lunch time there when I was working in town.
Just remember to take along a pocket full of £1 coins :flirty:
Was that a roll of pound coins in your pocket Pen?
:g:
I'm not bothered by going to one of those pubs with a dodgy ceiling they have to prop up with brass poles, and if women want to dance naked on them, all the better. I was thinking of doing this a bit more clean though, so as many as possible could join. I know there are some more prudish characters in the community...
... but if the mood is in the direction of a pole bar, who am I to object? :D
So 3 weeks to go. Who is coming along then?
What's the plan faust. If you give us your day breakdown of when and where and those who can make it can meet you there.
I'd be up for going to here:http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-moon-under-water-west-end
As a student i get loads of freebies : http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/discover-jdw/students
That pub looks good. It's in the Leichester square area too, so if we strike out there, there's options :D
The schedule is still a bit up in the air. According to the FA, the match should be over at around 5 in the afternoon, but you can never really rely on those prats. They might advance or delay the starting time.
After the match I need time to get from Emirates to Euston without getting my arse kicked by sore Villa fans, a quick shower and change. With a bit of efficiency, that means I might be at that pub as early as 6, but I can't be too sure.
If we say 7 o'clock, is that a good time?
Right let's say then, 7pm at:
The Moon under water
28 Leicester Square
West End
Greater London
WC2H 7LE
Buy a one day travelcard and you'll be all set around £8.00 from a rail station (it incudes rail, bus, underground travel incase we fancy exploring)
Anyone else coming or is it just Faust and I?
Ooh! Bonus! That pub is on the same tube line as my hotel, three stops away :D
No getting lost.. Might be handy that :D
