Well its gone from not connecting to disconnecting to crashing to desktop then a quick rest and good solid playing to crashing again but this time the computer completely locks up and freezes resulting in a complete forced restart !great! its come down to a hardware issue now which is bad so ill be out of active duty for awhile but if anyone else is having the same issue or can give us any advice be my guest! 2 games down (Arma2 & BF3) which one will be the next.....
I'm getting the same problem. I'm going back to the 360 version which has always been rock solid for me.
have you tried EA support or pestering the twitter account?
So, this is a hardware problem, not a problem with the game?
Mine is a game issue. Pretty sure anyway. I want to love PC gaming but it puts so many hurdles in the way. I get very little free time these days as it is without spending most of it trying to solve issues like these.
check your hardware// points to memory error // had the same error // only on bf3, took out the memory end the problems where gone //
Just try it if it aint working you always can try somting els.
Check your memory for errors before you do anything:

It's also worth making sure your (often overlooked) motherboard chipset drivers are all up-to-date and installed properly.
Do you get any error messages left behind in the System event log?
Yup, it certainly doesn't sound like a software error...
Tried my wife's pc and same problem so not looking like a hardware issue. Not for me anyway.
try to calculate you volt protection en check if you computer can handle it if it used 99% of the power it should use. Remember, there no other game on the market @ the moment that ask this muts of you pc.
If you think this isnt the problem en still thinks its a software problem (what is strange on 2 difrent computers in my eye's since most people dont have te problem) try and reinstal you drivers (video, bios (watchs out that you dont download and instal the rong drivers here, hard to fix a bios mistake) sound ect) This could help.
a other problem could be you virtual memory. Try and chance that in windows to about 3gb. some people find that this solved there problem.
Stupid solusion could be to chance your video settings (in bf3) from auto to medium, hight, or ultra depending on what your computer can handle.
Hope it helps :-)
Thanks for the tips guys, next time when I am on BF3 ill have those tests on the go at lowest settings and see whats going on if it is a in game problem anyway.
I currently run:
Intel Core2Quad 2.5ghz
4GB DDR2 800mhz
AMD 6870HD
2x 250gb HD
700w PSU
My setup has run about everything I have thrown at it but battlefield is the only game which kill it (unsurprisingly)
Edit - Nevermind, I can't read.
Good luck, hope you get it sorted!
