Title: Skys f1 Coverage
Post by: sulky_uk on March 17, 2012, 07:19:29 AM
So out in here in Gib we get a military TV feed (BFBS), and luckily this year we get the full schedule, so both sky F1 and bbc.

well what did i think

1) even though Brundle is a splitter he was excellent as always,
2) as was Ted Kravitz
3) Hill looks at the camera way way too much
4) but i really really detest Davis croft..way too excitable, hes trying to be a Murray Walker, but doesnt even come close to pulling it off.
5) georgie has great legs......

That's it for now

oh and well done Roman Grosan

Agreed on 1, 2 & 3.   Hill has done way less colour commentating than any of the others, he'll learn.

Georgie to me looks like some Essex skank who has taken too many spray tans & lip gloss to the studio.  This is F1 Georgie, not 'My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding'.

Anthony Davidson was brilliant as always during the practice sessions.

I noticed here that I dissed Croftie by accident.  I meant to diss the other blondish haired muppet (Simon Lazenby) Sky employ to provide filler for otherwise dead air time.

Croftie I actually quite like, his excitement comes from a very genuine love of the sport, something he has covered since 2006 for radio/tv.   He and Anthony Davidson work quite well together imo, although I'm used to listening to them as I regularly tuned into Free Practice in previous years.

The Croft/Davidson partnership seems quite unlike the bizarre pairing of Gergie & Davidson for the studio tech shots.  What precisely does Georgie add to these scenes?  She holds a microphone, repeats the question the handover presenter stated, then Davidson does his good bit, then Georgie says 'goodbye'.   She's not even got good legs (sorry Sulky).

Bin Georgie & Lazenby please Sky, neither of them do useful job and everything else is already covered by other people.

the other bird is nice, i particularly  liked her bit(s) when she was running.......makes up for the shortcomings of some of the other crew. I also liked that she knew a bit about the science of hydration, etc... agree with you on georgie, she needs to go. She adds nothing but essex girl to it.

Crofty was better this time as was hill
