"well we know you're just a dick aren't you" by Duvel (@19:50) becuase i'm not prepared to follow an "unspoken gentlemens agreement" (As Ghosty put it) to stop revealing where the enemy is after i've died on teamspeak to others that are on my team.
1) this isnt a rule i'm therefore going to use it to my advantage.
2)It's always nice to be called Dick (the swear word not my ingame nick) from a fellow dMw'er & someone I met at the lan.
3) I've never heard of this agreement.
I've come off the server i was helping seed/enjoying playing on as this has annoyed me quite a bit.
I look forward to hearing people's comments about this as i'm quite annoyed about what just happend
I started off with dead men don't talk. You commented about it and then I said: "You don't have to be a dick". So not in this harsh way as you posted it.
We've allready used the comment dead men don't talk and even people like Cheese_Puff use it.
I do play with you alot and I do know you from the LAN and such but there was no need to post this in the adminsection like this.

This is what i believed you said....ghost , arithon and twobad among others were there maybe they can shed light into what you ACTUALLY SAID
DD, I did hear you saying about where ppl were when you were dead.
And i heard DuVeL asking you not to.
I know this sounds like a cop out but i didn't he the actual comment in question, sorry.
From my own point of view, i don't say anything when i'm dead apart from "I'm down" or words to that effect and it does annoy me when people do say but let’s face it, there's a fair few people that do say where the enemy are when they're dead. I will ask them not to but if they carry on well fine, it really isn’t the end of the world.
However,
DD, you were asked not to by a dMw member and personally i think you should have stopped saying at the time.
DeVeL, you asked and were told no. Again, at that point the requests should have stopped. If you feel it should be a formal rule then post about it, personally i really don't think we need one.
As i said, i didn't hear the comment on TS but i do believe DeVeL apologised?
Unless either of you think more needs to be done then on this matter I think we should consider it closed.
I should have stopped but thought we had the rule of "dead men dont talk" in general amongst dMw with the exception being Fridaynights as it's dMw vs the World then.
I did indeed apologize straight away for the comment. Even typed it the next map as he allready disconnected from TS but still played.
As I've typed to DD in a PM, if he wants to take it to the admins, so be it.
Duvel if what you said was'nt meant in a nasty way what are you saying sorry for?....at the time of this happening I did think that you meant it in an offensive way but you say you didnt so i have no problem there then.
can we just clarify weather this is a rule or not becuase it says nothing about this in the server rules......& therefore i assumed it was okay.
I don't see helping my team-mates a problem when saying where the enemy is, I've always done this for FPS-Games and will continue to do so on FPS games unless it was made a rule.

1) As I did say: "you don't have to be a dick". Slight pun was intended. Hence name and such and what I told you earlier about my work, thought you'd get it.
2)It's not a serverrule but we have mentioned it a few times in Vent while playing dMw vs dMw.
3)Absolutely no problem in this as I've played CS on our server and while it was dMw vs dMw but then there were other ways to do it.
As said, I don't think it should have been taken to the forums. I was wrong about saying it, apologized for it at the moment I said it and typed it. I couldn't get back at you at the time as you've allready left and was trying to contact you as soon as possible.
A misunderstanding gone wrong IMHO.
yes a misunderstanding i accept that.
but i would still like to sort out this thing of telling others on teamspeak where the enemy is situation. I had a load of people moaning at me on ts saying dont tell others where they are is it aganist the rules or not? becuase im getting moaned at and tbh it's annoying it's not on the rules i dont care if its an agreement or said on friday nights unless it's in the rules i'm going to do it am i wrong for doing that?
I've always considered it good etiquette (when we are playing against each other) to not give away the killers position "from beyond the grave" but...
I don't mind it on a Friday dMw v The World game or scrims.
I have mentioned it occasionally on TS.
I don't think we need a rule against it, but I don't think it should be encouraged.
OFF-TOPIC
As far as I can see, Duvel is not a BF3 Game Admin and therefore he should not have access to this forum section.
Firstly may I apologise to DD for this error; this is meant to be your private BF3 admin section which should be visible to just the BF3 Admins and all Game Leaders only.
I've found a manual permission against Duvel's forum profile that seems not to have been removed from previous appointments, but this has now been corrected and he no longer has access to this section.
The current access list for this section is:
Arithon
DD
Fazer
KKND
Lionheart
Ninja
Rizzy
Twobad
Vargen
Game Leaders (of any game)
dMw Council
This seems to match the badge list so I presume it is now correct, but please let me know if further adjustments need to be made.
Once again, apologies for the error.
DD, i really don't think we need to take this any further. While we have no actual rule i think you would agree that it does go against the dMw ethos of fair play.

The dMw community aims to provide a home for players who revel in mature gameplay of all kinds. A member's skill level is unimportant to us here because we recognise an individual's mature attitude, sense of teamwork and fairplay far more.

I'm not sure why you say "a load of people moaning at me" as i didn't hear that last night but if there is that many ppl asking you not to say anything on the whereabouts of the enemy when you are dead i think you have answered the question on whether it should be acceptable to say. We don't need a written rule for this in the same way we don't need one for bunny hopping.
If you feel this doesn't answer you satisfactorily then please PM me, Arithon or Ninja.

Following contact from KKND I have manually removed his access as he is not a BF3 Admin.
IMO if you can see you will be tempted to tell. Our plan to switch the server to hardcore will remove the kill-cam and remove the possibility and temptation. You simply won't know. "I was just killed by the MCOM" won't tell your team mates where your killer is, other than a general area.
EDIT: To clarify, I think there should be a "dead men don't talk" rule, which will clear this up for everyone. Sorry I wasn't clearer on my original post.

Thanks for clearing it up mate
I've pm'ed Duvel and said that it was a misunderstanding that got out of hand and asked him if we could put it behind us.
Thanks DD
Thank you DD
Guys,
Just one final comment on this.
As a reminder, you are all admins for the game. With that comes the understanding that you: Set a good example, Follow the Rules, Follow the player guidelines. You've been selected as admins as you displayed the right values that are in line with the dMw ethos. That includes mutual respect for dMw members and playing fair all of the time.
Lately I've seen behaviours that I'm not happy about. I don't want to go into detail about whom, when and where etc. but these are the things that must cease immediately and we must also encourage others not to do:
Use of exploits or map glitches
relaying the enemy position when dead (applies to dMw v dMw situations only. dMw vs. X (ie: world or scrims / comp's) does not apply)
Shooting corpses
"tea bagging"
The first one is obvious. The last two are both rude and offensive. At dMw those actions have been severely frowned upon for some time. As admins I want you to put a stop to this with immediate effect and also strongly discourage others. I will be putting up a forum post in the general BF3 section on this. If I hear or witness this happening I will have no choice but to relieve the offender of their admin responsibilities. Take this as a general warning.
The other item has already been discussed in the posts above.
