i know that UI is a "subjective and personal" thing... but any advice to improve it and make it more functional is welcome

Following on from our session at the training dummy last night Hermi, can you post a higher resolution version of this picture please as I can't see the keybindings on it.

Also, to help me think about this more, perhaps you can do a picture with your boss mod timer/warning bars showing please so that I have a reference to look at.  Usually the boss mod has a 'test' mode that shows where warnings or timer bars will be.

Finally, which keys do you use to move and how many buttons does your mouse have?

ready...

I mainly use the sidebars for the attacks, I use the lowbar for "services" (in the picture ive on the button 2 the ultraxion special key macro) The reason is I use this for the left hand:

This is a fully configurable controller, I set the 1 and 2 buttons in the most convenient place. so usually i put on 2 the most important "action to do " (in the picture ive on 6 the target sapper macro or 7 the target bolt macro, and i put on 2nd button when i need to use).
I use this controller to moviment button, target, map, jump, seat, ecc.

my mouse is a simply 2 button with scroll wheel mouse

i use these addons (mostly):

recount
DBM
GTFO
quartz
sheepmonitor
spellstealer
combustionhelper

Ok, thanks for that.   I presume then that with your controller doing movement & 'hot' actions that you mouseover & click your spells to cast using the sidebar on the right of the screen?

yes ...

to cast FB, LB , PYRO, and all spel you see on sidebar i use mouseover and click.
but I would try to configure "timed" spells like LB FO MI on controller, to avoid too many mouse movements (loss of dps).

news...

I installed a new addon called "scorchio2", and configured it to show just above my cast bar LB cd... i think is easy looking on it now.

I have configured 3 buttons on my controller for the cast of LB, FL and PYRO so i dont need to move mouse from FB cast button (only for prepot, hero and MI )
now I need a little practice with this new setup, but in LFR i was always on top of the list with 30k dps (on MoDW 37k)

so now is :

Ok, solutions in hand, we should talk through them on TS!   Grab me when you next see me and we can discuss.

Can't imagine playing with clicking my spells.. Only things I click are rapid fire/call of the wild macro since they have 5min cooldown, & also my aspects. Rest is pretty much key binded. Also, get a mouse with a button on the side (which is standard 'previous' for in your browser), makes it so much easier for movement :narnar:

Might give that one addon a try though. I like the sound of it at least!

I prefer customising my warnings, find it much better, for this I use WeakAuras, it wil ltake some time to setup (more than an hour) but it's worth it.

I love having a warning that only appears if I have 3 stacks of lacerate on a target and 3 sceonds or less (incluuding no buff) on Pulverise.
