Title: Gaming recommendations
Post by: TE_owner on April 12, 2012, 07:44:03 AM
So I'm finding myself with bags of time that ought to be sucked up by some game or another, the problem is that I usually blitz a game uber fast for example I purchased Batman Arkham Asylum and I finished it within 24 hours of it being installed, can anyone recommend any current (or very close release) games that will hoover up my spare time multiplayer or otherwise.

Cheers :)

I do own Fallout 3 + NV, Oblivion, Skyrim, Dragon age, Deus ex: HR + The Witcher 2 + few other RPG's

Never played an MMO considered TOR as I absolutely adored Knights of the Old republic 1+2 but a Sub fee put me off (probably wouldn't play beyond first free month)

If you want to try a free to play MMO you could give Star trek Online a go. I've only been playing a week so I'm not sure exactly how big the game is but there seems plenty to do at the moment. It's not as slick or polished as Star Wars but it's free to play and so far the Developer hasn't ruined it by forcing people to endlessly make micro transactions in order to get any fun from it. even free it's full featured, although I could do with a bit more bag space. So all you're investing is some time in order to try it out.

Borderlands! Should keep you busy for about 40 hours and many more! Add the DLC and it's a freaking good game! Don';t want to know how many hours I've played as the solo player is freaking large!

EDIT: Total played: 125 hours. Finished 1 game, restarted another char. Stil addicted to it.

Already got Borderlands played it to death bout 3-4 play throughs 2 of those I actually finished :P

Yeah it would be cool to try out SWTOR probably take me an age to DL it tho :)

If you could chuck a key my way Toby I'd really appreciate it.

WoW never really piqued my interest Blizzard totally killed franchise for me, I loved the RTS warcrafts still got Warcraft 2 somewhere :)

Devil may Cry HD collection for PS3/Xbox360, All three original games reformatted for the new consoles, take ages to play and 100% finish and they have excellent story's (2nd one is weakest I shant lie) or get the Mass Effect Trillogy as they will take you a month or two to get 100% complete

They still have there original graphics TE, they just fixed issues such as voice sync, less square faces and more fluid combat and reduced lag, keeps the feel of story and old age graphics but kicks ass (plus im an achievment whore) :D

On release I think it was pretty crap, since it's gone free to play it's got a lot better from what I've read, as I've only played it f2p I can't really comment, but for me to have played it for 8+ days it must be ok.
