TWO WEEKS AND COUNTING!!!
I thought I'd update you on the LAN happenings and preparation as we get closer and closer.
Given the number of attendees, Tobias and I have talked the dMw Gods into creating a chill out / social area within the LAN room. This will be used for the usual sacrifice of the LAN Virgin but also for drinking, the ususal talking of Bollacks and even cards.. (poker anyone?).

It's looking promising for the LAN room on Thursday night IS confirmed. Start your Engines..

I've just confirmed that Thursday is fine now so happy days.
I'll be there about 11.00am.

Thursday night, in the time it takes me from 5pm to drive there from bloody Brighton. ******* stitch up work meetings.
The necessary sacrifices have been made, the ritual is ready and my liver is prepared. I'll be there Thursday lunchtime.
Same as Benny for me this time and will be heading to the hotel after work on Thursday so some time in the evening. Am liking the idea of poker and will pack my clay chips and cards if this will help.

+1 for the poker, i'm working Thursday but hope to be there about 5ish, anybody got an estate / 4x4 that will be there earlyish and i'll get the racing rig down for Thurs night for a bit of urban drink driving after a stint at the bar !!
As a thought, Thursday the curry by the river does a cheap set menu. Anyone up for that? I have Friday off but won't know whether I have Thursday off yet. I am hoping to be there Thursday am/ pm however I might be in the same boat as Benny coming up after work at 5pm!
Sounds awesome! Poker is a great idea! Just to know what to prepare for... are we going for £5, £10, £20, £50 or car keys? Well up for this! Myself and the Norwich and Bexley crews will be attempting to arrive as early on Thursday as possible... should be good!
Regarding food... I gonna have to wait until the date... unlike Sheldon (BBT) I dont tend to plan my meals weeks in advance lol (apart from steak night obv:roflmao:). See you guys on 2 weeks!
Well we would have to be careful about how we implement this with the poker as gambling in a public premiss with out a license could prove a tricky one should anyone get court out. Not 100% sure on the laws and where we would stand and the last thing we would want to do is get the hotel into trouble on our account.
However I have some very good ideas of ways around this and stakes in etc, but will run it by Ninja and Tobious first before we decide on it and announce but I don't think it will be vast sums.
FB Ive got an Avensis estate which can quite easily house several families, sure we can get it in there.
Looking like i will get there thurs 7-8pm due to work.
Will try to get the Thursday off but as one of my colleagues has already got it off unsure whether I'll be able to!
We don't need to play for money. Let the loser(s) buy the drinks - sorted.

Leaving Durham around 10am on Thursday, Sat Nav reckons its a three and a half to four hour drive so early afternoon providing I don't take a wrong turn and end up in Wales.
If Steve's driving.. probably 3 hours (he has a lead foot!)
