Sorry, i'm not sure if this is in the right area but here is the question

I'm sorry to say it, but i'm helping my Server Host with something. They have not been able to fix admin, so i'm asking around:

As we don't use any mods on our servers Bunce we're not gonna be much help I'm afraid.

After the last update I had a nightmare just getting our servers stable.

All I can suggest is just keep deleting the InstallRecord.blob file and let the server re-download the files it needs and try from there.

so how do you restart round easily etc?

do you just use rcon in console? or is there some kind of rcon menu out there that can be used?

basically, i NEED the peeps who paid for server, to have their admin rights, if we can't setup admin, then i'll have to let them use rcon... but i'd prefer not...

suggestions?

rcon sv_restartround x   (where x is time in seconds until restart)

If you install RzE's CS helper (linked from our downloads section) you can add a commandmenu that is accessible in game by pushing a button. The admins of dMw use it all the time and we have modified the commandmenu to suit our TCS environment and matches. Very easy to use.

I think what he is getting at is that with AdminMod you can very easily give Admin rights but only to a certain extent. Additionally, because you log in as an individual you can vary the level of admin rights given to each person.

With RCON it is a bit all or nothing.

BUNCE, have you looked here (http://www.adminmod.org/) or here (http://www.ozforums.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=143)? I am not an AdminMod guru but I know enough to know that these resources are excellent.

Actually we've mannaged to fix it between us all now, so thank you very much all for your swift and helpful comments :) the Rcon thing could come in handy for me i think :P

But otherwise, much appreciated all!

Or you can go to the cigs forum our cl's are also using linux and many mods also adminmod.
