With the Mists of Pandaria expansion due later this year the DMR Council wanted to outline some initial plans for RGT raiding in MoP and to find out from RGT members what their own plans are for raiding in MoP.
Can all RGT members please post in this thread if they intend to:
- raid with DMR in MoP
- re-roll their main and change class in MoP
- stop raiding
The intention is for RGT to start raiding as soon as possible into the expansion and progress quickly into Heroic raiding to build on our Cataclysm success.
PLEASE NOTE: For obvious reasons, if you intend to re-roll and change your main's class there is no guarantee that there will be a spot available in RGT for your new main. Therefore, it is important that if you intend to re-roll that you let us know as soon as possible & re-apply to us for a raid spot with RGT. Raid spots in RGT will be confirmed nearer the time.
I plan on raiding with DMR in MoP. I'll be sticking with my Pally and tanking
I'm intending to raid with DMR in MoP; shadow priest with a healing off-spec.
Ill looking at raiding in Mop Druid healz... with kitty offspec
I will still be raiding and still as my Lock.
Ill keep raiding with DMR if youll still have me and ill keep raiding on my hunter :-) ( dps main spec / dps off spec )

No change here either with regards to intentions/class, but I do have to add that I'm not sure how fast I will reach 90. I'm going to assume I'll have a job by the time MoP comes out, so I'll only be able to play in the evenings/weekends. No idea what other activities I might pick up on and how social life is going to develop. As I posted in the absence thread, my intention is RL > WoW at all times. That means that if I can do something with friends or the likes I won't hesitate to put it over WoW. But that's been the case the past year. Just that now that I'll have a lot less free time that may impact my WoW time, is all.
Otherwise: Raiding with DMR, on Torgen, main: DPS (Arms or Fury, whichever'll be better at 90) Off: Tank.

For a few people it is not possible to extend raiding days due to RL commitments.
Just in my example: I get home around 19:00 / 19:30 when im not working late on a theusday / thursday. Then i log on to get in the raid for the DKP and go make dinner to make sure i ate before the raid.
I do a few daily's after raid usually so i mostly log around 30 min after raid because i have to get out of bed at 6:30.
On sundays i always have dinner at my mom's because thats the only day in the in the week im home earlier then 19:00 ( she always eats early ) and im not in the pub ( read saturday ).
And seeing i got work on Monday again id like to be in bed around 00:00 and be able to do my daily's ( arena ) after raid as well.
So even tho you would not have a problem raiding another hour other people might have :-)

Hes not, but his points can be stretched over multiple raiders.
Have to take into account that a good number of (RGT) raiders are UK, so they start the raid at 7 PM, rather than the 8 PM server time that we do. They're also working men with families and the obligations that come with that, probably stretching them enough as is ;-) Regardless, I've not seen any evidence that we need that extra hour. We've been progressing at a great pace with the time we invest so why bother?

As you can see there i never said i was RGT and i never made a comment suggesting it either as far as im aware.

Pretty much this, if we started an hour earlier it would mean that raid starts at 6pm, that is way to early for most people as they have probably only just finished work or such.

Im probably coing back and looking to raid, not decieded on what yet, just need o be told what is most likley needed.
I am undecided on what i want to do in MoP - Will most likely be raiding with RGT (however that is undecided too), but what class/spec i have no clue about.
Update: after some time in the beta I am thinking about a Monk as a main. With achievs and mounts going cross-toon this is a somewhat attractive option now. All of the above still stands :-)

Char/spec ........have not got a clue. I would love to go back to Enhance Shammy at some point but would happily change char and tank/dps on Druid/DK/Rogue or Lock............I suspect there's a high chance I'll end up as resto spammy still.
So......a complete fudge of a Non-answer.......

Thought about this for a bit and i currently don't intend to raid in MoP, the expansion just doesn't appeal to me as much as it seems to others. I will likely play early MoP with the new levelling and 5 mans but i feel another raid tier is just too much of a time commitment when all the bosses feel kind of the same. Having said that there is ofc plenty of time for me to change my mind and RGT would be the first place i would go!

Not bored....for men of our mental magnificence it was a mere whimsy of a puzzle to solve.......just got curious as Miicroid as a name for a shammy had disappeared from the armoury and it seemed a name change was the most logical explanation ;)
I think i'll be available With Tirkad and Zaul, and i'm pretty sure i'm going to level up a monk after those two. As with cataclysm, let me know which class and spec is more needed.
I shall stay on my shaman - prefered spec is resto, but, im still learning ele, and happy to stay with the spec :)
