Yes, an "expert" witness for the
Independent Parliamentary Inquiry into Online Child Protection was the "Dear Deidre (http://www.pcpro.co.uk/blogs/2012/04/19/dear-deidre-what-the-hell-do-you-know-about-web-censorship/)" columnist from The Sun, a paper well know for it's expertise in technology and firm stance against pornography. (right!)
When PC PRO challenged Claire Perry to defend her campaign, she replied "

Governments love the idea of blocking the internet. It needs to stop. Track down criminals and arrest them, don't break the internet to try and stop it. GRRRR....

Seems to be the news of everyday nowadays, politicians playing "I know whats best for you" games, while they sit on their fat collective arses ruining the world.
What these idiots need to realise is that even if you block left right and center, there will always be those who find a way to circumvent whatever blocks are implemented. Not to mention driving pedo sites even more underground then they already are, ergo making it even harder to crack them down.
Heck, the latest crackdown was done by hackactivists and not cyber police.
