The picture says it all really. Less than 7% of raiding guilds around the world have killed this encounter and DMR's RGT raid group tonight moved up to 7th for 10 man raid progress (8th overall) on the Aszune realm by defeating the Heroic Spine encounter.
Heroic Spine was damn hard. It took a lot of planning, very careful timing and perfect execution as one mistake meant it was a wipe. The members of RGT put in about 130 pulls on this boss before finally getting the kill and the loot and improvement in realm ranking are a well-deserved reward.
DMR now face the final encounter in the Cataclysm & Dragon Soul WoW expansion, the Madness of Deathwing. We expect a challenge of epic proportions, but when we prevail DMR will have finished the game until the Mists of Pandaria expansion is released.
Onwards RGT, Madness beckons!

Gratz all well played ;)

I feel like I cheated a little getting this kill, only coming in on the last night and taking the kill.

Dont think you should be sorry. This was a teamkill above all. With you in, our burst would be slightly lower than "usual", meaning someone had to push more buttons.
All in all, this could be done with almost every setup we have and that is where our strength is.
And ofc, a most excellent raid leader who really digs to understand the mechanics of this fight. +rep to TL, amazing raid leader who keeps pulling and pushing us onwards.

I haven't looked at the logs yet, but I think with me as demo I wasn't as much of a dead weight as usual :P

Video almost done, just doing the voice-over.
It's currently rendering, so should be uploaded within a couple of hours. After that., we're in the hands of Youtube servers and how quickly they can process the file at decent resolutions!
Our first Heroic Spine kill for your enjoyment is now linked in the Media section! (being processed by Youtube servers at the moment but should appear in a few minutes)
Just looked at wowprogress and we are now 9th, apparently Paradoxx beat us by like 2hrs. :( According to that they killed it 19:06, 6 mins after their raid start and apparently we killed it at 21:11, which we didn't.
Congrats on a fine kill! Off to see the vid now
