Server may be up and down due to tweaks of settings etc.

Still not had anything from Steam about beta access. So much for the pre-purchase benefit.

I have to say, I am disappointed. The game appears to me to be Counterstrike:Source. Can you guys see any difference?
If its not broken dont fix it, the game was made just to reboot and its also being sold on consoles so while to us it might be the same game its not on other platforms but its great fun even if it is the same but with better graphics and new weapons

That is why it's £12. The game is an update rather than a brand new game. There are plenty of changes to the graphics, audio, level design, weapons, etc but the changes have left the gameplay very similar so it can still be used as a competition game.
Well, the whole beauty is that they've left the gameplay as is. If it's not broken, don't fix it!!
I believe this version has been created by those who loved the game, and it has been developed under close feedback from hardcore players from all versions of counterstrike. If they had changed anything, like adding healtpacks, call in airstrikes or ride tanks, it simply wouldn't be counterstrike no more, just "another" shooter. I like how the gungame version has been implemented as a standard now, and I hate the dissapearence of the scopes :(

I like this new Counter-Strike, but find that I can no longer hit anything due to the mad recoil. More practice required :)

Well some guns like the M4 seems completely off in my book, you can get lucky and one shot someone, and next second you can empty a clip in someones head and nothing happens.. atm i prefer the famas over M4, performance just seems more stable with it

on a side note, i really start to miss our old rule set from CS:S

Perhaps one of us can send you an invite in-game and after your session, you can simply add the server from "History" onto your favourites list.

Copy the IP and port details from the other post, start game, select join a community server, when the server search window pops up select the favorites tab, click the add a favorite button, paste in the IP and port and click done.
Next time select join a community server, go to the favorites tab and select the server and click join.
Hi CS dudes! I can't get on the server - both me and TE_owner get booted back to main menu on entering the password - any suggestions?

Life's good, living in 'Retired Gentleman' mode. Mostly flight simming and a bit of CoD WaW on a crouch server. The only way I can keep up the pace. CS looks to be fun again, looking forward to tomorrow. Now if only I could remember how to make buy scripts!
