About the windblades, should we just kill them down to two and leave the survivors at like 30% so the overall damage on the tanks is cut and we can still build amber traps ?

Whytee went splat with 4 windblades, so the latter try we tried to leave 3 windblades.   The aim was to have 2 traps up with Hal with both reavers and Whitey kiting the 4 windblades and passing the damage buff around.    Hal then traps both and we AOE the adds down at that spot.

This has developed into leaving 3 windlbades total - they die so fast.

Note:   After being over a minute ahead of enrage timers and wiping, we decided to go with 4 healers (my shadow priest switched to smite disc spec) and we killed it with apparent ease on the very next try.   It seemed to make the disonance field explosions very much simpler, especially when you used spirit shell (60 sec CD) to build a nice big shield on everyone with PoH prior to the explosion.   Worked like a charm, so we'll go 4 healers next time too, the 4th healer has to dps in the first phase though to make sure we knock off sufficient HP in the first phase to ensure that we can reach 30% in the second P1 without hitting a 2nd adds phase.

I know we addressed it in game, but i felt i ought to have it on record here :)
The amber traps, can't have them too close to each other as one of the big adds will set off both causing the glitch that resulted in one of our eventual wipes.
