Having applied for a whole host of Olympic tickets in the initial ballot and got none, my wife was pretty chuffed to win a couple of tickets to an Olympic event in an internal competition run by her employer (an Olympic Sponsor). The day she got the email that advised her she had won a pair of tickets (to an unspecified event) she forwarded the good news email to me and my response was a hopeful "Woohoo, naked women's beach volleyball! Yeah!". She laughed.
Today, she got the email confirming the event and forwarded it to me. She added a comment at the top:
"AAAARgh!! Not even naked!"
So on 31st July we'll be watching Beach Volleyball at Horse Guards Parade. :norty:
Life eh? :roflmao:
I hope it's the men's! :narnar:
I checked, it's both, so at least I'll get a good long beer break during the Men's matches!

Oh, and obviously name that film :)
Looks a bit like the "IceMan" to me
Bang on Goose.
Enjoy TL, I reckon they are probably the best tickets to get, center of town, good event and then out to dinner/pub etc frmo a great location. Jammy so and so.
I agree, Beach volleyball rocks.
Sure we can't persuade Louise that a trip to Fortnum & Mason would be far more worthwhile and I'll help fund it with her ticket to the volleyball so we sit there and dribble inanely.:dribble:
It would be the perfect tonic after what's going to be a long and hard weekend visiting the in-laws who are ill. Ahh well I can but dream - If not then I'll settle for photos with a decent zoom lens :)
Congrats TL and try not to touch your self to much during the event. (really do not want to see that on tv)
My tickets turned up on sat after a years waiting for them. X2 "A" standard (lower tire) tickets to the football final with medals award after. Wonder if GB will do better than the international team?? But let's face it that won't be hard :)
Maverick did good on not playing another match with Goose...
i won 2 tickets to see the indoor table tennis from bt
