I have been asked by a few new people what is a dMw Lan like so here is that classic old post rolled out once again.

I cant wait sneaky! I tried last year but my car died about halfway on route to the hotel costing me almost £800 and didnt get home till about 3am sat morning :(
Im coming as i want to experience a lan plus they are doing another DMR guild meet...so i wont be around the gaming side of things much but will be glad to report back and make a new "guide/report" :)

Good company, late nights, beer, a room that very much smells of "MAN" particularly on the Saturday.
Expect plenty of beer, drunken songs, rampant Counter-Strike cheating and a good shoeing if you attempt to play as anyone but Zangief.

One thing I was warned about before last year was the cuddly bears certain individuals hoard, but thanks to widespread use of Windows 7 or Vista, most lan sharing is incorrectly configured, making you lot safe.
The ones with the pr0n are also the ones who don't know how to set up proper anonymous sharing :D
One thing I wasn't warned about was the beer. The beer was very good, and went down easy. This might cause some minor coordination issues when you're trying to snipe a zombie.
What to really expect: A good time, endless banter with a bunch of good guys (and gal), getting robbed in Poker if you show up thursday, and spending the next six months to a year waiting for the next chance to go :F
