Hey Guys and girls here are the compertitions that we will be running and the servers will be hosting as well for LAN XXII
Competitions- BF3 SDM
- Deagle
- COD 4
- L4D 2
- CS
- Hot Lap
Servers
More servers maybe added laters
As you can see we are running 5 Team comps this time and not the usual 4, so should be even better.
Any chance of a Team Fortress 2 server?
Yum yum yum yum yum battlefield :3
And thanks to the Steam Summer Sales I'll be joining in the L4D as well. Oh and for anyone who doesn't have RO2, GET IT! Hard as nails game, but the multiplayer was brilliant fun at the last Lan and it was the first time I had played the game! Well worth it.
was looking at bringing along my xbox and kinect and kinect sports , depends on room tho.
I feel stoopid, don't recognise some of those shortend game names:
Deagle?
CS (Counter Strike: Source?)
Can't find the game Hot Lap
Deagle I think is Desert Eagle from CS:Source
I will now enlighten you,
Deagle is mod for CSS which is 2 teams of 2 in a small map only using Desert Eagles and Knife and Gernade (if you can find it) to kill each other.
CS is counter strike source
Hot Lap = Is a fast lap on a game where we chose the Car and the Track and you have 3 x laps to practice and 3 x laps to get your best time. Fatbob lets us use his rig which is basicly a car set up, with a projector on the wall for all to see your progress.
Is the hot lap available to us socialites, or only for competition (ie people who bring their rigs)?
Open to all

I can unofficially sort this out if needed.
Racing games, if you are still discussing games may I suggest Trackmania? It's free, the cars have no clipping so multiple people can race at the same time and not hit each other and you can build your own tracks.
need for speed world?
If someone wants to host a server no worries but we only have a certain amount of time and squeezing in 5 comps is going to take some doing.

It's well worth entering this even if you're not very good. Nothing gets your heart going quite like having a bunch of attendees watching your every mistake on a big screen. Every kill is immensely satisfying.

+1
I'm Poop at CSS but somehow got into the final of the deagle in Oct' 11 - great fun.
Question: If CSGO is out and we are supporting it, will the CS comp be CSS or CSGO?It doesn't bother me either way, but it's worth considering and clarifying.
I'll discuss it with my LAN admin brother and keep a eye on it:)

The pack with all the CS's is £13 so if someone who doesn't have CS:S is planning on getting CS:GO it is probably worth pick up source for the extra £2 just to be safe. I'm sure if it doesn't support it right away it won't be long till CS:GO supports all the features we're used to.
I think it depends in server availability and maps etc but it would be nice and make sense.
The LAN Admin's will look into it.
