Title: SWTOR Combat Logs
Post by: Twyst on July 24, 2012, 10:15:18 PM
An alternative to MOX, this one features live web feeds people can "watch" on the web but more important has game overlays so people get in game threat meters and the less important DPS meters, most used ability meters, etc.

Here's a link to last nights run, where we downed 1st 3 bosses Denova. Myself and Voyak were trying it out.

It gives a MUCH better web page for fight analysis and I suggest we all move over to it from MOX.

Still have to try that Sneaks. However in this one it's all clear really. For example, as i can see, Twyst did preform better healing wise, and i can even see what his rotation is and what abilities give the most benefit.

And for the fun part i can see how much did my illness affected my preformance yesterday :D It's much more chaotic than it was before ;)

On a side note, one who is not on the group can see on the web those statistics and graph live, without launching anything.

I don't suppose you have a screenie you can put up with the overlays on? I'm in work so cannot access swtor atm.

All You have to do is register on the site, fill in the server and guild name case sensitive and without typos:

Nightmare LandsDead Men Walking
Download the client and fill in the same info in the user options of the client. That way, when Twyst created a group i was automaticaly invited to it (via popup)
On a side note: those of You who cant see the windows from parsers on top of the game, make sure You're running a game in "window mode" in Your in-game preferences.

@toby, it's case sensitive, i think all of it is case sensitive there, login, password, server, guild, etc.

The person that owns the group has to invite people manually that have registered OR people can join the group if they know the group id.
Currently the groupid I own is dmw-ecsm, but if I disband the group then someone else can own the ID. If I don't disband the group and someone else wants to create one, they can do and they'll get a different groupid and they people then need to leave and join that one. You can only be part of one group at a time.

Hope that makes sense!

The only thing I don't like is that we don't have any control over duplicate guild names. For example, Tom on server Foo could register his guild as Dead Men Walking and it appears on the site as if he's part of the guild. So when perusing fight data, you need to know who the real owner of the group is.

or we could just all create a characters on each server and start a guild of that name so no one is using it :roflmao:

That won't help as it's the swtorcombatlogs that handles the guild name in this instance, not the actual game servers.

There are a few issues when you modify the user settings for sure. Just ensure that all fields are correct when you edit it and you should be fine. For example, sometimes it puts my toon name in the date of birth field. Removing it so it's blank then allows it to save. There are numerous issues with the site layout I personally have also, but I also contend that the on screen meters and web page analysis far outweigh initial setup issues.
