Title: The Bourne Legacy
Post by: TeaLeaf on August 02, 2012, 09:15:24 AM
You think he was the only one?

Not quite sure how I feel about this one.  I am a huge fan of the trilogy (Bourne Identity/Supremacy/Ultimatum) and I'm like an expectant child looking at a huge wrapped christmas present wondering whether or not it is the present I desparately wanted.

Looking forward to it. Have you read the books? I'm currently working through Bourne Betrayal which is a little far fetched but a great set of page turners.

Still on book 2, haven't read it further recently. But I've started seeing this as a 007 type series now, with the trilogy as kick-off.
I was bugged first (like 1.5 years ago) after hearing Matt wouldn't play in it, but I got over it, and the new guy has "the face" for it.
So I think he'll do just fine :)

Probably gonna see it, no Matt Damon but I really like Jeremy Renner as an actor. Should be entertaining

From the first time I saw the initials are JB, it was clear they will put another player in it.
let's hope he is more of Timothy Dalton than George Lazenby...

Renner is ace but please stop the hollywood cash machine. Gonna boil down whether the story will hold, but gonna have to see it eventually since im a fan of the 3 first ones. The original old one was also good, but *lol* Richard Chamberlain ;)

My main concern from the trailer is they seem to be heading down the super solder route as he gets something injected into him which alters him, quicker healing & whatever else. The good thing about Bourne is the fact he was just a dude that was really good at what he did.

Also, everything looks orange & blue  -which is one current trend in films I'm not liking at all.

Lets hope they dont see fit to reboot the Universal Soldier "franchise" which was awful even back when it came out. Im gonna watch the movie pretending its a stand-alone movie and see if its any good ;)
