Hi there

Here`s some pics from what i`ve been doing over the summer, it would of been finished weeks ago, but there was a delay in the delivery of the correct parts, but now its done !

As you`ll see from the pics, the before and after look nothing like each other !

I really like the high sockets. Having them as the darker more modern looking ones was a good choice too.
With a remodel job nothing is so hard the average person couldn't learn it given practice, but when it's your house you've got to get it right first time, the finish has to be just right too. That's very impressive. If I had to redo a kitchen myself I think I'd be on the 5th go by now.

Jaminm, yea i hand cut the masons mitres on the worktop :P

And T-bag is right you gotta get it right 1st time, although i have a slight advantage of most folk, having spent the last 20 years as a joiner, and doing kitchen was part of my profile..

It was a huge undertaking and its payed off big time, as i`m happy with it, and so is the missus, she`s even wanting to cook now..

Nice one :) we use a jig and a router, probably the most stressful part of the job.

Impressive, but why not router/jig method? (curious)
Perhaps we should have a thread for home projects etc. as I know Whitey did a BIG kitchen job last year (saw photos on FB)
I did a conservatory conversion and kitchen re-build last summer too (photos also on FB (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150176222137460.320341.764892459&type=3) I don't know if you can view these unless you're a FB friend)

i did the mitres by hand as the router is busted :/ and needs a biscuit cutter also,  so i just resorted to doing them by hand, simples :P
