Heres my two cents:

Overall I like the game, Not had much experince with Counterstrike in the past the maps are quite fast paced and could maybe do with being a big bigger as before you know it the enemy is in your spawn putting a kinfe in your back. the graphics are acceptable without winning any awards for it but keeps them at a pace with past counterstrike series while making them appear fresh and up to date. I would love to see more weapon customisation in the game at the moment you can pick the weapons you want but i'm struggling without a zoom feature on some of the guns (smgs etc) but I dont think it will go down that route?. I could quite happily play CS:GO for a good 3-4 hours and not notice the time go while other games I sometimes find it hard playing for two hours solid for various reasons mainly being stress related.

This game has the enjoyability factor for me but It also has it's niggles which I dont like.

Alot of the players playing the beta run around with a sniper rifle and either no scope kill you, one shot kill you or use the sniper rifle as a bolt action rifle - Highly annoying as some people doing this are highly skillfull.
The crosshair feature is pants.
Auto player run seems as if your running at about 15mph by default.
Lack of zoom feature on guns (They have to be scoped) - most fsp have some sort of zoom feature on a gun (even if it does not have a scope).

Although saying that I'm pretty rubbish at this game and still enjoy it so it shows you dont have to be amazing at Counterstrike(Duvvel/Dark Angel) to have a good time.

All in all for the price being what it is I'd say buy it as it's not alot of wonga and alot of the community are supporting it so found to have fun and gg's.

DD.

Pretty familiar.......basically an update on source.

Public servers are as I remember them......Awp'fest and just not fun.

Had quite a few rounds when we had a few on our server and was good fun with people pretty much sticking to the old boundaries .......and I had the hex over Whitey for a while ( which was fun ;) )

If you play on public servers probably yes, on ours no.

As before in CS:S it all stands and falls with keeping to bounds. The few games i have played on public servers havent been very enjoyable.

I've held off downloading the beta as it goes live in a couple of days (allegedly) and I'll play then.

I had some fun games last night, even with Niel killing me more than I'd have liked!  There are some nice changes on the maps to make them fairer (Dust and Italy spring to mind).  The guns take some getting used to as there seems to be more recoil but the new grenades are fun (Incediary/Molatov).  In-game comms work well and we should try and use them for tactics.

Some of the newer members haven't played CS with us before so aren't aware of the way we play with sticking to the map objective, so please help them out when they are on.

It's CS and has all the classic maps with some nice twists and extras that actually add to it.

Those new to CS may want to read the dMw TCS guidelines that will most probably be enforced on the server once the full release is out. They cover a lot of the things which may be putting you off on the public beta servers and make the game more enjoyable and friendly to newcomers.

They were made to make the game more enjoyable for everyone and cover a lot of the gripes about spawn attacking and restricted use of the AWP, mentioned earlier.

Zooming without scope, well I'm pretty sure that since I was born evolution has not managed to incorporate zoom functions into the eyes of the younger generation so not sure why this is an issue.

Always running, yup that seems to be the default, but there's a walk key.

A lot of us have played every version of CS that there has ever been, in the short term you would expect some of them to be a lot better than you at killing. The aiming mechanics are the same across most of the series and they've had lots of years more play of this, if it is your first time on. Once we have full servers this won't seem as bad (except with DA and DuVeL, they just aren't human) and you'll soon get the hang of it.

Missing the silencer .

Now we just need Browne and Squonk back for a drunken Friday bash or even Benny.

good overall gameplay,i think a silencer on say the awp would be like throwing a nuke in, kinda game killer.keep it fast paced without the snipers i say .

Crosshairs are a bit weird I must say, but the rest seems classic CS, glad they made more guns available for use.

Also, what is dMW server ip so I can add it to my favs :D

Silencer was only on the M4A4 and one of the pistols.

The sound of CT's at spawn screwing it onto the barrel was the FPS equivalent of freshly baked bread smell.
