Are you applying for a Raider position, or Social membership?

Tell us a bit about yourself! Who are you? Where are you from? How old are you? What kind of work do you do?
I'm Emma from Nottingham, I'm 16 and I'm a student, studying Law, Psychology, English Language and History at A level, but I have a part time job in a little hardware store.
Tell us about your personality, and why you enjoy the game.
Gosh...well, I'm a bit of a geek, really. Not a huge geek, but the stuff I like, I kinda obsess over. I've always loved fantasy and science fiction since I was little, which I guess came through visiting Warhammer World almost every Saturday. As I've grown up I've got into the whole science fiction/fantasy a bit more and WoW was my first experience with a fantasy style game. Ever since I began playing I've loved everything (and I might have obsessed a little too much over dragons, but I always have!) and I enjoyed meeting new people, seeing as I'm more confident online than face to face. Outside of the whole geekdom thing I'm really committed to academic studies. I recently achieved my GCSE grades and moved into college and I want to achieve the same there, so I can go onto University at the end.
How long have you been playing computer games and what kind?
Ever since I was little, really. It began with Crash Bandicoot on the Playstation and moved up to things like Darkstar One, Settlers and Dawn of War with my dad. From there I went to console games and had a PS2 and about 20 games for it. I played everything and anything as long as I found it entertaining. After those I began my time on WoW during Wrath of the Lich King but quit 2 1/2 years later after a lot of drama and the release of SW:ToR. I played that for a few months, had a bounty hunter at level 50, but it was the case of I couldn't find anything at the end level. Then came EVE online, but that only lasted for two months until the offer for a week free on WoW came through, and I decided to subscribe again.
There are other guilds on the server, why did you apply to us?
I've only recently come back to WoW and am still getting familiar with the changes I've missed from a year away. I want to spend that time in a calm, friendly environment where I can chat with friends and just chill while I'm not studying.
What other guilds have you been in and why did you decide or were forced to move on?
I started on Terokkar, and the first guild was Who Dares Wins, I can't remember the reasons that broke down. The next guild I remember was Storm Raiders, which was co-owned by my dad and I and we had a raiding team, but that broke down to conflicting commitments. Some players left and just never came back, and we didn't know why. From there we joined another guild which made a smaller, raiding guild called Awesomesauce. We eventually left that and transferred from the server because the leader of our raid group decided to run with another group and get the Lich King kill for himself, and didn't see why we were upset about it. We decided we'd have enough with Terokkar and moved. On Aszune we founded Cookie Vendors which was more social, and then we quit. So here I am today:)
Who do you know in Dead Men Raiding? How do you know them?
I know Riggs and Pen, and while looking at the forums I noticed Grimnar, too. I know these guys from previous guilds and they're all really fun guys.
Have you read our 'what we look for' and 'philosophy' posts? What do you think of them?
I think they're fair enough. I under stand the age post, I know a lot of people my age on WoW who are seriously immature. I know I'm 16 but I feel I can fit in an adult environment, because I work with adults in my job, and now I'm in college I feel I've matured.
What do you look for in a guild?
An active social environment, something that makes you feel like you fit in from day one. Nothing like 'I'm the guild leader/raid leader/personal friend of the guild leader's cousin' kinda thing, but like everyone's equal, no matter what they do.
Do you actively play any alts that we could find you in in case we need to contact you?
If I'm not on Nassuada, I'll either be on Nassie, my 85 druid, or Syff, my 55 hunter.
''Dead Men Raiding'' - What comes to mind when you see that guild name?
Well, seeing as I'm a death knight, albeit female, it's oddly appropriate.
What are your plans for the game? In what way would you like others to know you?
I can't really say. I don't know what time I get, and I play when I can. I'd like to progress possibly in Mists of Pandaria but it's finding the time between homework, coursework and exam revision. I'd like other people to know me for who I am, and that's all I can say. I'm not pretending for the sake of other people. I am who I am.
Name one thing you don't like about WoW in its current state.
Well, the graphics could be better...but I think since Wrath of the Lich King I think it's been dumbed down. Take the talent system - it used to be a delicate balance of how many points to put, where to put them, and what stuff you needed. Now, it's just what's best out of three options. It's simpler, which I guess can be good or bad.
A guildie says something you find offensive, what do you do?
Not take it to heart. Probably just ignore them. If they've got nothing better to do than pay attention to my faults, then by all means, they can go ahead.
Cake or Pie?
The cake is a lie, but the pie is a spy...hard choice, really. Can I not say something like an almond slice? It's a cake with pastry...but if I had to pick one, probably cake. There's so many options with cake.
Nice app Emma, give us a whisper when you are next online and we'll get you into the guild. Welcome to DMR!

Thank you all! And thanks for the welcome, it's nice to be back in a real friendly guild :)
