I've been playing this loads with my brothers. Got up to around level 27 and there still feels like there's loads of the game to go. Handsome Jack is very reminiscent of Archer (from the show of the same name) and I love that show.
Plenty of funny moments, and certainly warrants being a new game due to the sheer contents even though the core gameplay is very similar. If you liked the original you'll love this.
It's pretty damn good - I intend to be playing alot of this at the LAN :)
Well up for some Co-Op anytime if anyone wants I'm about lvls 19-20
