That's been touted for a while now and has made a ripple in the flight sim world. Just the one ripple mind and it's now dissipated. For starters it only covers Switzerland and from what I understand, the flight dynamics ain't all that. It's on a par with the late unlamented Microsoft Flight, a dumbed down flight 'sim'. Just to be clear, I haven't tried Aerofly FS but it looks like photoreal scenery which I'm not a great fan of. I did try Flight and had to admit it was pretty but not a sim. FSX will cast a long shadow and I cannot see anyone making anything to replace it. It would be just too big a job.

QFT! FSX was simply a monster of a program, real shame it is no longer supported :(
It hasn't been 'supported' for years now. There was much hilarity on the flight sim forums when MS announced they were stopping support. Everyone knew nothing had changed. :doh: Any development ceased when MS sacked the ACES team back in 1873. What has kept FSX improving is the addon developers. Aircraft and scenery, especially scenery. Orbx has transformed the dreary default scenery to the point where you'd think it can't get any better! (The whole of the UK is due to be released any time soon. SOME SCREENS (http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/49861-this-is-england/) ) Of course it's at a price. If my dear wife had any idea of how much I've spent she's have my guts for garters!
So, FSX is not dead yet and I don't see anything that will replace it.
That orbx UK scenery looks nice
They do a huge chunk of north west USA/Canada, all of Australia and New Zealand. I don't fly anywhere else. And no, I'm not on commission! :D
