My landline has been crackly for a few days, and now my broadband has died.
So I won't be online over the w/e.
I'm sending this on my mobile, and its so slow I'll be back online by the time It's sent.
See you soon.
Edit: Flakey internet seems to be up for now, so there's hope for me yet :)
Hope it is sorted soon chief
See you soon mate :)
Happy Birthday matey! :hapbday:
And now my PC has screamed to a stop :(
switched on this AM and it booted up, I signed in then an almighty fan noise which turned into a sceam, swiftly followed by Black screen.
looks like some new kit is needed.
I'm suspecting the graphics card (radeon 5800)
gave it a cleanout with air duster a few days ago as it was getting a bit flaky, maybe I just moved the dust around.
anyways, I'm out of gaming action for the next few days till I get it sorted.
It was the bearings in the graphics card fan.
New card coming tomorrow, meantime I've put one of my old Geforce 7800's in.
I don't know if it'll be man enough for CS:GO, but I'm going to try :)

Should be man enough, CS:GO isn't the most demanding of games.
A quick google reveals the 5800 fan is a bit of a dodgy one. You can order a replacement cooler, or water cooling block for the GPU if it still has some life left in it, they seems to start at around £20 so might not be worth it though given the hassle.
I can only get 20-25 fps in GO
all game settings are low
any ideas?
I'm not too bothered what it looks like as long as it plays ok
Have you installed newest drivers Nividia..maybe thats it but i think your Graphic card is the bottleneck.
yep, latest drivers

you could just get an aftermarket fan cooler, that what I did and its much quieter and cooler :)

I've looked but couldn't find 1.
besides, I can still do that and put it in my old rig as a back-up, if I can find 1
