Yes. :D
Just extract it in the same way as you did with 1.5. You should note that there are no maps/sounds etc folders if you have a fresh install of CS (you can create them yourself if you like). If you find your config.cfg you are in the right folder where you should extract the maps-
folder.
so
c:\program files\steam\steam apps\sheepy_lloyd@hotmail.com\counter-strike\valve
is that the right folder.
c:\program files\steam\steam apps\sheepy_lloyd@hotmail.com\counter-strike\cstrike and under that you have your maps, sounds, folders etc :)
wot he said
ta lads
i bloody hate steam!!!!
If you dl the one of the dmw dl's section it has them listed into folders arleady so just copy em in to designated folders.
as far as i can c ive done that butr rio still dont work, if only it would dl from server as it used to.
infact i think it still does as i think ive dl'd aim maps from servers.
has it been disenabled on the dmw servers?
I tend to extract maps to a temp folder and burrow down through any folder structure created to reach the point where you can see all the maps and sound folders. I then copy those to my cstrike folder.
I started doing this when some sites started packaging maps into zip files but rather than having a cstrike folder in the zip it would have a folder with the map name which was naff!
I feel I should warn you that I installed Rio in the above way and since then have had a few bugs..cant hit anything, cant shoot straight, miss with an AK point blank and get killed by OB a lot...also my wife refuses me sex, but I don't see how steam could cause that - I'll check the forums for info just in case :)

Quoteif only it would dl from server as it used to It should do i dl rio off the server not too long ago before my new pc arrived that is and i just did as i said earlier had no probs that i know of. But when dl it off the server it only has limited bw and therefore is a vey long wait especially for 56k. Just do what i was open the dl folder and does manually copy and paste it over to the appropriate folder doesnt take that long and that way you know it will work.
