Title: New ssd
Post by: KKND on November 28, 2012, 06:30:57 PM
Since yesterday i have new ssd.
Now are there any proggies where i can see what the speed is ?
Also i have tweaked some features, i know Win 7 had trim but have Win 8 it also ?
I cant say i noticed any speed performance although its on the right port on the motherboard and changed to AHCI in the Bios.

You can use the built-in performance tests in Windows 7 to benchmark it.

Have a Google for the 'winsat' command.

Sent from my Galaxy S3 LTE.

looks like you need a driver installed as it's showing bad, did you do a fresh install?

have you got it set to AHCI in the BIOS? have a look in system devices and see if there is any warnings in the list, I still think it maybe driver related. Also, make sure your not running anything in the background when running the benchmark

That's better! :flirty:

Check for firmware updates, firmware updates on SSDs can make a big difference in performance and reliability.

Found this which might help also, but not tried it yet: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?49779-SSD-Tweak-Utility

Do not use SSD tweaker, its a horrible tool, which in most cases just makes it worse.
