Tell us a bit about yourself! Who are you? Where are you from? How old are you? What kind of work do you do?
Well, my names Dan, I'm 22 and currently living in Hull in the North of England. I am originally from Glasgow, moved to the Isle of Wight when I was younger (lost the accent, phew! Not that I don't like the Scots!) and since then, I've been all over the place! I currently work for a company called Park Resorts as a Regional Retail Manager, for the southern region, but during the winter I work for their head office. Being a manager allows me to choose my hours, and accommodate raiding!
Tell us about your personality, and why you enjoy the game.
I am happy go lucky kind of guy I guess, quite chilled, nothing particularly winds me up. I like to have a laugh and a joke whilst raiding or pvp'ing makes it go easier, and in my experience, a lot smoother ha ha. I enjoy the game for many aspects really, and I think the main component i play for is the social atmosphere, I've met so many good friends here and had the opportunity to meet several of them in the flesh!
How long have you been playing computer games and what kind?
I've always been an RPG player, starting with Final Fantasy VII when I was younger, epic game. Played that game series religiously all the way through to XIII, but the last two were kind of disappointing. Since then I have dabbled in a few MMOs including Wow (started at the end of Vanilla), Star Wars: The Old Republic, Guild Wars 1 and 2 and Aion. At the moment though I am currently playing World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, Blacks Ops 2 and a bit of Dota 2 on the side.
There are other guilds on the server, why did you apply to us?
Your progression is quite nice, and a friend of mine, Midd, said you were recruiting, so I figured it would be pretty cool to get back in the swing of things, and join a nice 3 day social raiding guild.
What other guilds have you been in and why did you decide or were forced to move on?
I will list the guild i have been in on my current server:
Ubiquity, Server #2/3 - The guild disbanded after an argument between the officers.
Phase Two, Server #2 - Raiding days were increased to 5, and whilst I enjoy raiding, this was too many for me, so I left.
False Gods - Casually raided for a while, and everyone seemed to go their different ways.
Solace, Server #9 - I was removed from the guild after I decided to take a 4/5 month break.
Diffusion(current) - Casual social raiding guild, looking to join a guild progressing.
Who do you know in Dead Men Raiding? How do you know them?
Midd - Was my former Guild Master in Fasle Gods, met him doing random BGs, and that led to me joining his guild. Managed to heal most of ICC HC with just us healing due to our extreme competitiveness. Known him for I'm guessing 3 years now, give or take.
Have you read our 'what we look for' and 'philosophy' posts? What do you think of them?
I have, and I think that allow for the best possible prerequisites for progression raiding and solid member recruitment.
What do you look for in a guild?
Pretty simple response to this really. I look for a social friendly environment where I can enjoy steady progression.

I see an awesome guild, a suitable name for the insomnia style gaming I suffer from occasionally ^_^
What are your plans for the game? In what way would you like others to know you?
My current plans are to see the current content and reach a respectable rating in PVP again. I would like to continue to be known as a guy that is social, and likes to take part in things, help out people that ask for it.
Name one thing you don't like about WoW in its current state.
I'm not a massive fan of the new talent tree. I preferred the old version, it allowed for a lot more versatility.
A guildie says something you find offensive, what do you do?
I would be quite impressed if someone managed to offend, I don't waste my time getting upset about peoples opinions. I guess if someone managed to, I would just laugh it off as usual and leave it at that.

Which evenings of the week are you available to raid?
Due to my flexibility at work, I am able to raid any day.
Can you and will you speak actively with other guild members on Teamspeak and in guild chat?
Definitely, like to be social and take part in guild/voice chat.
Do you have a stable internet connection?
Switched to a new ISP about a year ago, never had a problem since. Sits around 39ms at all times.
What sort of frame rates do you get when raiding?
Well over a hundred, 10 man raids, its usually around 120ish during boss fights.
What kind of raiding experience do you have?
All my experience I will link is what I attained when the raid was patch relevant, not achieves I have gotten since.
WOTLK:
Naxx: 15/15
OS: 1/1 - Twilight Duo with 2 drakes alive attained at the time.
EoE: 1/1
Ulduar: 12/14 - 8 hard modes done at the time, Yogg Saron and Alagon attained during ICC patch.
ToC: 5/5 - Heroic 5/5 - Insanity Earned.
ICC: 12/12 - Heroic 11/12
RS: 1/1
Cataclysm:
BWD: 5/6 - Heroic 2/6

At this point in the expansion, I become a pvp member of the guild, and only raided when I was asked, I was used as backup. Rated Battleground rating: 1985 (Centurion)

DS: Never been to this raid, as I took a break of 4/5 months at this time.

Shandreal, I have played with this guy for 5 years, I have raided and pvp'ed with him, so he will know the full extent of what I can do.

Why did you decide to play this class?
I have always liked being a healer, so strangely, I quite literally chose a paladin at random, and have loved playing it ever since, 192 days played to date ha ha.
What do you think your class' role is in raid content?
Well paladins were, and still are strong tank healers, but with their new abilities, we are now capable of raid healing as well, which I have been assigned to on occasion. So I guess we are pretty versatile at the moment.
Comment on your build. Why did you choose it? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those? (important question)
Now that our talents trees are pretty limited, that is not much range to what you can chose that will be helpful in pve rather than pvp. Saying that I have gone for talents that are well rounded in AoE and single target healing, allowing me to fill whatever role I am given for said boss fight. However, if I was set and either a raid healer or tank healer, I could make slight adjustments that I guess would improve either role.
Yeah I can vouch for him.... I guess... If I have to... ;)
Nah in all seriousness, extremely good healer, I had him in my guild for over a year before we disbanded.

Sorry guys looks like this was a waste of time. Ick has removed himself from my ReadID friends, and sent me some message about not having access to his account because of "a blizzard error", yet the armory clearly shows him active in game. I'll have to remove my vouch, clearly he's not the same player he was a couple of years ago. Apologies for wasting your time. :(
