What an amazing life; If you saw a film of this you'd think it far-fetched

And I'd sit next to this man on a bus or in a pub and if we started taling I'd simply think he was an old codger making up some clearly ridiculous war stories. I wonder how many times over the years I've passed by incredible people like this without knowing anything about their amazing stories. And in not many more years they will sadly all be gone. If you were twenty years old at the outbreak of WW2 you would now be ninety three.
