I do not want to know about this. :)

I've seen season 1 and bits of season 2 on DVD. In any sensible world we would be able to buy content from anyone and everyone on a show or series basis and not have to install a load of hardware or sign up to lengthy contracts and legions of channels we have no interest in. Hopefully one day all content will be on-line and free to purchase without contract.
There was a lot wrong with the Blockbuster high street rental model but at least we could walk out of the store with only the content we wanted to watch rather than being forced to spend a fortune and buying a load of tat we're not interested in.

Back on topic Game of Thrones is a brilliant set of books and the TV series is just as compelling. If you do have Sky Atlantic this is certainly one to watch.

The third book is, imo, the best of the lot.

Looking forward to seeing how they portray it, especially the 'Red Wedding'...

Sent from my Galaxy S3 LTE.

For anyone who hasn't read the books, the wedding will be a total "*** just happened" moment!

The ending of the last book was a cliff hanger and a half too!

Enoyed S3E1 the other night and am surprised nobody has yet commented on it!    Several threads set up in Season 3 Episode 1.   It was a little slow compared to how we left Season 2, but it provides cues for the rest of the series.

Looking forward to S3E2 now!

Again I do not wish to be reminded that I cannot watch this magnificent TV series, until it drops on DVD or Blue ray at some distant point in the future. Any further mention of this series will result in serious repercussions, such as me doing various Forum Admin reprimand things by pulling forum leavers, pushing forum buttons and twiddling the occasional forum knob as well.

I'm just about to watch episode 1, it's been a while since I read the book but I'm looking forward to seeing the stuff they chopped out of S2.[/COLOR]

I'm not happy :(

Where the frig is Strong Belwas? Very disappointing, maybe he'll show up later on. I understand why they ditched the 'Whitebeard' character though, not sure it would have been very convincing on TV.

Apart from that minor travesty it's a good start to the series, though I noticed they toned down Tyrion's wounds somewhat. In the book he's a real mess, missing a nose if I remember correctly.

There's some awesome characters coming up if they stick to the book. The Lightning Lord, Ramsay Bolton, the Reeds....
