Hi Guys,
So after tonight's raid and with various comments about my equipment and my DPS, which was improved with various rotation changes, I would like to request that RGW return to Moshu'gan Vaults.
This is in an effort to close the gear gap between myself and other raiders, having spoken with other members of the raid as well as listening to comments made during the raid I believe this would be beneficial to both sides.
- Any new member joining the raid will not nessecarily be raid level geared and this would allow for the raid member to be upgraded sufficiently to contribute to the raids progression
- Several members I spoke with still require select pieces of gear that provide either large or small upgrades to there own DPS/Healing/Tanking ratings
- LFR whilst providing a quick gear boost does not provide gear that is on par with the current raiding requirements, and whilst it may allow for some hard to fill slots such as weapons to be filled for a time, a member in LFR gear will still pale in comparison to a completely equipped raid member with non-LFR gear
- This would be an ideal time to begin external recruitment for RGW members and to gear them as well as test there skills/train them up as I am aware that RGW has lost a large number of members in the recent weeks and whilst Internal messaging/recruitment is a step more members are required to fill the gap
- As another member has informed me, this run takes approximatly an hour/hour and a half, so this would ammount to one raid night and would allow the 2nd to potentially progress within the Heart Of Fear
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Vladic
You can pug it or start a social raidnight and those who needs the gear can join
No offence mario but the listed points raised didnt pretain to my personal self but to RGW as a whole, I shouldnt have to Pug a raid or organise a 3rd raid night (which isnt feasible for me) to aquire gear, you guys want me to DPS for you and I am happy to however you need to be willing to gear myself and other raid trials up if you wish to progress :)
As vlad has stated, there is a gear gap between him and the other warriors
The down side is that a lot of the raid group is simply hacked off with MSV :/ as we did spend a long time in there...
I do need a few items from msv, and would be more than willing to dive in and run it, as its only a hour or so to clear it, and some people are stating "just do lfr", where is the guild commitment to help others in that ?
Also we are loosing more people within RGW, and if we are going to recruit, then we are going to need to gear them up... kinda a catch 22 situation - dont have the gear to do the harder instances, cant get anyone to go into msv..
I`ve been in this situation before, and the argument is nearly is identical, as in you are missing items and the main part of the raid team either dont need items or simply dont want to go back into the instance, then proceed to gripe about the dps difference when the person has a lot lower in item level!
This kinda shoots down your own argument :/ as in for the item level you have, you dps is decent (they just expect you to pull another 30k out of the a hat)
Yes there can be improvements made with rotation, etc, to help with the dps
but the key factor for dps, is having the tools to do the job.....also as blizzard have stated, that the reason they changed the talent point system was to remove the "cookie cutter" spec, so that no matter what you chose, it would perform in comparison to other talents (within reason ofc)
And then there`s your chosen spec and weapons choice, its down to the individual to play with what they are most comfortable with, like me, i play a destruction lock, yes its not top of the charts, but I play it in demo because I like to play that, and I dont really like affli, and if you dont like it, well tough cheese :P
so stick your 2 pence worth down in writing and discuss this, as the situation wont simply vanish because you want it to, it will just proceed to lurk and annoy people to the point where they just stop playing

I see LFR is not feasible for you either, having done LFR ToeS and LFR HoF only once...

Do LFR clears every week, get VP capped every week and buy valour gear that's available. If there's an older raid available that isn't done by the main group then do a social run or Pug it, it's not that difficult to find during the weekend. It shouldn't be a case of RGW want you to DPS for them but that you want to DPS for RGW, if that's not the case then I don't see the point in you doing it.
Another option is to buy gear maybe an interest free guild bank loan for a few items? I can start by giving you 5k anyone else?

There is actually remarkably little BOE gear Sith and typically it is only for those slots where VP or rep gives equivalents, so throwing gold at it is not necessarily the way forward when you can get it for for free via other routes.

This. So much this.
Let's try not to make this too personal, we're sailing close to it at the moment. It's very possible that what Vladic wrote was not intended to be interpreted in isolation and that he understands his commitment to RGW and the time he needs to spend on valor points and LFR runs.
The general point he made was (and I paraphrase):
Quotecan RGW please go back to MV as I think there are some gear up opportunities there which will help new RGW members
As stated above the points dont pretain only personally to myself, TL basically got the General point smack on the head as it where.
To Slush, yes I have only done HoF and Terrace once in LFR however at the current moment I have been applying part of my time to extra tuition to return to University, driving lessons and a job search (thankfully the job search was resolved yesterday after 3 months thank god)
To Whitey, my equipment if checked is already primarily valor gear as I made the effort to grind/farm the reputation/VP each week and stocked up to the cap before 5.2 hit, so that part at least has been done, and yes an older raid is required however RGW is not as far progressed as RGT, if I were joining RGT I would understand that MV is a pretty rediculous request however RGW are only on the 4th boss (no kill) of HoF and whilst they can get him to 50% or 23% (enrage time wipe) if clearing MV in an hour in a proper non-pug/social/alt run can help in progressing through HoF and onto Terrace/ToT and speed up the process I believe it is a worth while time investment by the raid group, not just for myself but also for the other slots the require to fill such as healer (jaylen has offered) and a ranged DPS they currently wish to aquire, and ofcourse I want to DPS for them or I wouldnt have asked to join, however its a double edged sword both sides must contribute.
To Sith, thank you for the kind offer but monetary wise I am currently fine, as TL said BoE gear is rather scarce this expansion although we do have some recipies in the GB for RGW I could manufacture that would improve myself and maybe others if requested, some BoE gear is useful however the gains from my current gear would be minimal (few 50+ extra stats for 20k gold just isnt cost effective), but again thank you for the offer.
To all who have taken the time to reply I do thank you for taking the time to read/participate in this conversation and I await your reply.
Well said with the OP Vlad.
This was ongoing for a while when i was leading RGW....to do or not to do MSV...
The people who say "just" buy VP gear and pug MSV.....Please with a 1k vp weekly cap its would take ages...the pug grps are still aboslute crap and as pointed out he has a very busy RL.
The main factor about RGW is....They have lost healers and high dps players and have taken on 2 dps'ers who arent as geared and are struggling. Vlad has been moaned at about his gear and dps yet hes "JUST" got to buy vp gear and pug other raids....:frusty:
There are several people who would still get upgrades from MSV aswell as the new people who would benefit alot from just 1 run.
Yes MSV is boring yes RGW have run it alot...You are going to be stuck in HoF alot longer without helping some of the team gear up...It takes an hour to run, i think it would be good for the grp, but who am I now?...Just a social...
Tl is setting up a raid night now which is very good of him as he probably doens t want this to affect the raiding.

Indeed. Good effort. Happy to see that Vlad will be able to make it 3rd day this week aswell.. Hope the extra-run gives bountiful loots to everyone that needs :-)
Lets do some math here. MoP came out in september. That is 27 weeks ago. Lets say u spent a month levelling. That leaves 23 weeks of possible valor.
Grinding the valor every week to reach the cap is not an achievable nor wanted goal (at least for me) but say u do half on average. That leaves 11,5k valor.
All the people in RGW should be either geard with items from MV, LFR or from valor gear. We had our first kills in october. The piece you have not yet gotten due
to bad luck on drops should have been replaced by either a raid finder or a valor point item. If you have not done this (im not referring to you now Vlad, as u
joined late), you should consider if you have the time and/or dedication to be a part of an active raid group.
In my opinion MV is not a good way to spend the few hours a week we have to raid. I want to see new content, learn new fights and see more endgame content.
Guess what, MV was endgame close to 6 months ago.

Who is the last dps? Afaik we only have Vlad as a new recruit, and weve lost several players due to breaks. Doesnt help when people decide to quit in clusters.

See previous post.
I believe Demi is joining the ranks... Also yaril has left now so....
There's talk of jaylen joining also.
So that's 3 people.
Your point is very valid if you have played since mop launch but alot haven't...
I'm not bothered what you do I was was just stating my opinion on a forum...
Shoot me in the face now please :)

@ Vlad no problem with the gold i take the point u and Tl made. We are a team and I know everyone wants to help which is a good thing no responses = apathy = a bad thing
